Happy Halloween all.
Got an email forward today that referenced this website and had a artist rendition of Clint.  Thought y'all might like it...

I flipped this image because I liked it better. But now the lip mole is on the wrong side. Dang.

Anyhow, here's a link to the website if you'd like to check all the different pumpkins.  There's some real good ones in there along with this one I've posted.

Congrats to the Colorado Rockies! They've won twenty-one of their last twenty-two games, including seven straight this postseason, and they are the National League champions!

Good luck in the World Series, boys!  8)

Great pic KC.
You know, I sure am glad that we've got somebody outside of Colorado that also enjoying this run by the Rockies.
Interesting conversation this afternoon on the radio, Sports Radio 950 The Fan, they were talking about how huge this story is for Colorado compared to how lame it seems to be to the rest of the nation.  Game 1 of the NLCS, apparently, had a record low rating on TBS.  I believe I read that in the newspaper.  Anyway, the funny thing they brought up on the radio, in addition to how ESPN only seems to be interested in the Yankees or the Red Sox, was that on ESPN radio this morning, I guess they said that the three run homerun last night was hit by #17 Todd Helton, even though, as you can clearly see from your attached picture, it was obviously #5 Matt Holiday.   >:(      ;D
Here's hoping the Red Sox win their series, only just so the Rockies can get some real national attention when the Rocks squash the Sox.    O0

That is really cool CL!
I'm sure that if I were to attempt barrel racing myself, I think the barrels would end up winning!   :D

Happy Birthday Canadian Lady !!!

Congratulations on your win at the barrel races!    O0
Ok, I have to ask...  :)  Does that mean you won a bet on who would win the race, or you were the actual rider that won the race?   ::)
My favorite races to bet on was the chuckwagon races, but they don't do those up in Cheyenne anymore.   >:(

Getting back to Miami Vice for a second...

Yes, that is a great episode.  Wasn't Bruce McGill also in A Perfect World by the way?  :)
I too have been watching the second season of Miami Vice, only have a couple episodes left and then I'll need to go and get the third season.

I am a big Miami Vice fan.  Edward James Olmos became one of my favorite actors because of this show.  He was super cool!  Also loved the fast cars, cool boats, the music, and also the guest stars.  Each time I put in the next episode, I'm thinking, "I wonder who's gonna be the big star to show up on this episode?"  And then for me, it's especially funny to see the fashion and styles back then that make me laugh about what it was like growing up in the 80's.   ;D

Wow!  I'm not even sure what to say other than this is totally awesome repeated a hundred times. :o
Last night had to be the longest game ever, or at least it felt like it to me as I sat on the edge of my seat for over 4 hours.   :o

Here's Todd Helton and the inspirational rookie of the century, Troy Tulowitzki celebrating the tying run in the bottom of the 13th inning, at this point the game was already in the bag as KC mentioned, a runner on 3rd base with no outs.   O0

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: Robert Redford in An Unfinished Life

I just happened across this movie the other day too, I think it was on HBO.  Had never heard of it before, and I was a bit skeptical about it having JLo.  But since the story was supposed to be set in Wyoming, I just had to see it.
I agree with The Kid, 5 out of 5 stars.

It's hard for me to put what I saw in words, so you'll just have to see it for yourself, but how Redford and Freeman's scenes together make their characters seem so real, how they've been such long time friends that know each other so well and don't have to say very much with their words, but with their expressions.  Reminded me of other movie scenes that I love so well, between Eastwood and Freeman.  Stubburn old men from those small little towns in Wyoming are exactly like that.   ;D  My father... my grandfather...   ::)

Another reason I loved the movie was cause it had another favorite actor of mine, Bart The Bear.   :)

That's great news for the Yankees!
Rockies also won last night!  And with another awesome play from Tulo near the end.   And the crowd ranting... "Tulo-jit!  Tulo-jit to quit!"

That's 10 straight wins now, the most anybody has won in a row this year.  One more tonight against the Dodgers who are already out of the race because of us, but then we'll be facing the division leader in Arizona D-backs, who will definitely not be pulling any punches, since we may just take the whole division away from them.  :D

I would love to go to a Colorado Rockies home game. I have heard that Coors Field is an absolutely gorgeous ballpark.

Come one up Richard!  I'd be glad to find an extra ticket around here somewhere.   O0
In fact, I just bought 4 tickets for the 2nd home game of the division series of the playoffs, hoping they'll make it that far.   8)
Yes, it's a great ballpark here at Coors Field, not that I have been to a lot of other different ballparks, but I sure do like it.  Been to 4 games this year so far and they've won all 4, so of course, that makes it even more special.   :D

Celebration of Todd Helton's game winning homerun from last week (also witnessed by me)   :o

Playoffs begin next week.

I think my love for baseball has certainly returned this year.  My Colorado Rockies finally have a legitimate chance to make it to the playoffs for only the second time ever.  They have now won 9 straight games, all games within their own division, which is also known as the toughest single division in baseball.  ;)  And with the San Diego Padres on the down slide, we’re practically a shoe-in for the wildcard.   :)  (only have to worry about the Phillies I think)

Anyway, the Rockies apparently have the least amount of errors of any team this season.  They have a potential rookie of the year in shortstop #2 Troy Tulowitzki.  (by the way, I heard somewhere that Troy’s hero is Yankees #2 Derek Jeter)  Plus, the Rockies have a possible MVP in #5 Matt Holiday.  And then, of course, there is our local hero, #17 Todd Helton, who has stuck with us since he was first drafted back in 1995.

Watch me gloat here a bit if you don’t mind…  :D    In June, we swept the Yankees, and in July we swept the Mets.  Are you Yankee fans worried yet???   ^-^  Wouldn’t that just be the sweetest, to see the Yankees vs. Rockies in the World Series!  ;D Ok, now I’m getting a little ahead of myself.   ::)  We are only 1 game back in the National League wildcard race, but with 9 straight wins, our guys are definitely PUMPED UP.

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: What Was The Last DVD You Bought ?
« on: September 26, 2007, 10:28:50 AM »

I really like this guy, Seth Rogen.  I think he's a fresh new comedic actor and I absolutely loved him in 40 Year Old Virgin alongside Steve Carell.  So, this is my first ever purchased DVD before having even seen the movie.
Knocked Up wasn't just another hilarious comedy, but also a believable real life type story.  Moreover, I had initially assumed the comedy itself would go out the window once the serious part of the story began, but I was wrong.  This movie keeps you laughing even when it becomes a serious situation.  It’s a real good movie IMO.  9/10

Not to take anything away from Robert Duvall's great win last night, but I suppose everybody here would like to hear that Eli Wallach was also nominated for an Emmy.  Too bad he didn't win tho.   :'(

I haven't seen the show myself, but apparently he was nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor In A Drama Series for his role as Eli Weintraub on NBC's Studio 60 - On The Sunset Strip.
So, way to go Tuco!!    O0

KC  Chris Cooper is a good actor, what a combination that would have been..Good call!!

Yes, Good call there.  Chris Cooper really made my day in his fairly short part in the recent movie Jarhead.  He was right on the money with that character.

Rub Vicks Vapo Rub on the bottom of your feet before you go to bed and put socks on and by morning you feel better!!!

I'm not quite convinced this is what did the trick, but I had my sister try it on her feet last night, and sure enough, this morning her sinuses were much better.  Course, she had also rubbed it on her chest and upper lip, but either way Vicks Vapo Rub tends to do the trick often times for us too.   O0

I would love to see The Last Chase. Has it been released on DVD yet D'Amb?  I love those great 70's and 80's fast car flicks.

Gee, now I definitely want to see this one.  I like Burgess Meridith quite a bit.  Great synopsis and pictures D'Amb!
Searched Netflix, no dice.   :-\  Searched Amazon, only found a few VHS copies for over $30 each.   :(  So, I'm afraid it must not be available on DVD.   :'(
