Once with a some good friends, and some alcohol, we got into a very deep discussion about the entire ROCKY saga....and we came up with a very odd conclusion that I dont think was ever considered.

ROCKY, for all intent purposes, has nothing to do with boxing...boxing is in fact the sub plot in all of the movies. Its only in total about five to ten minutes per movie.

In actuality, ROCKY (in caps to encapsulate the saga) is in fact, a love story. It should probably be called THE ROCKY AND ADRIENNE STORY.

I know that sounds far fetched but go with me a minute......

Everything in Rocky's life is pretty much garbage, UNTIL Adrienne accepts his first date. Both of them are somewhat incomplete people, Adrienne the ever shy and unpersonable, Rocky the awkward hyper violent knock around guy.

From the moment they date Rocky's life turns for the better.....his act cleans up, his luck changes (he gets offered the fight for the champion), and how he does in the ring is reflective of how he is in the relationship. When he was happy but unsure in the relationship, he tied with the champion of the world...thats what his will allowed him to do. In the sequel he was torn apart by Adriennes coma and his world stopped....until she opened her eyes. When they were bookendeding their newborn son and she looked in his eyes and said "I only want you to do one thing for me....WIN".....and thats what he did.

Pan ahead to the death of Adrienne in Rocky Balboa....how he poised a chair in the tree next to her grave and without fail spoke to her every day. Even in death he would ever be the faithful husband til he could see her again.

Face it.....boxing....not the most important part of this story.

Actually I am holding my breath for next year. In Super hero movies, there will be some BOMB movies dropped.

BatmanVSuperman
Deadpool (YESSSSSS)
Suicide Squad

There is talks of Daredevil, Luke Cage and Arrow and Flash transitioning onto the big screen next year as well.

DC is raising its game.

Im revamping this one because no one ever answered it.

Matt....did you just type "thee"???

.....sigh.....
DAMNIT MAN WE CANNOT HAVE THIS!!!

I thought we had a spoken agreement AND a written agreement of the CEBC that all intelligible and reasonably intelligent posts ONLY be made via KC.

I swear for a second it was almost as if I was listening to Shakespeare....Tony Shakespeare...his younger brother turned Soul Singer for the band "The Betrayers".

An offer....of sorts.

So in the wings of our man Matt returning....I decided that there are some core folks I should NOT lose touch with under any circumstances....of course on this board anonymity is a given. Wow...I do feel a little hesitant typing the word anonymous or any variant....cant imagine why these days.

Anyway....I decided to offer to anyone that wants to take me up on it...my FB page. Many of you I would trust with my kid....well I would trust you with her cause that "kid" is 18 years old, in formative shape on one martial art and developing skills in in Krav Maga. Good luck with that.  :knuppel2:

So any who want to reach out, inbox me and we can find each other in the (gasp) real world.

I find it UNBELIEVABLY COOL that Arch Stanton met his demise on my birthday....well a hundred some odd years before it.

Matt, I was curious did you actually go thru the EPT (yeah I am deeming it that now...I try to be cool with acronyms....or ITTBCWA) and see our little tributes calling you back? Quite funny actually  :)

"BDC28:  Dirty Harry or Josey Wales? Was one more of an outlaw of their time?"

Actually I cant believe I have to be hurtful on this question...but I am gonna. Josey Wales is absolutely the ONLY rebel of his time in this scenario. If anything Dirty Harry shows some sense of cowardice towards rebellion in that respect. Although he does exercise his own form of law, he also uses his badge to give him shielding from any kind of repercussion that may come legally. By comparison Josey Wales was too blood thirsty towards those that killed his family to much care about repercussion...for that matter death.

My question goes to our new\old friend...Matt.

Were you, honestly all of you could answer this question...were ANY of you affected by the Clint Eastwood meltdown with the chair?

So...kiddies...where do we begin?

Oh and for the future. To ALL my email is bdc28@hotmail.com to this account. I want a constant "MattWatch" and know of all his movements. He's gonna be tempted to go back to the real world. I've been there the gaming sucks and the graphics are sub par.

Welcome back bud. And I told you KC :-)
