General Discussion / Re: Movie quotes in everyday use
« on: April 03, 2009, 03:06:08 PM »

I always mess around, particularly with my father who is a huge admirer of Clint Eastwood, with movie quotes. If he's going to pick up something, I always say, "Well PICK IT UP" in Clint's voice.

Character: William Munny

Would never say: Greely's is a fine establishment.

hahahaha, this Clip is absolutely hilarious. "Come on, flip the card man, this isn't my bag I tell ya." And I love that Heston shows up right after. I'm a huge fan of Chuck as well. This is great. Thanks for posting.

General Discussion / Re: Clint’s popularity in Sweden

I love that story Clintan! I was not aware that Sweden reffered to Clint to this name. That's a great piece of info for all of us here. Thank you for sharing. Clintan is a cool sounding nickname but I actually love the sound of "The Clint" better. That's pretty awesome either way though.

Eastwood News / Re: Patrick McGoohan, R.I.P.

I guess I missed this therad when it was posted. :( Patrick was a wonderful actor. He's going to be missed greatly. I absolutely loved his small performance in "Escape From Alcatraz." I just bring that up because of his work in an Eastwood film. Of course, he was great in a number of other roles. May he rest in peace.

Wonderful thoughts about the film Clintan! And welcome to the forum my friend. This is definitely one of the most powerful films Clint has ever made. It's his little masterpiece that I think will gain even more respect as the years go by.

This man was truly one of the greats. I absolutely adore his score for "Doctor Zhivago." He will be missed.

A great friend of mine has lived in Japan the past three years. She teaches english in a Japanese school there. I was online talking to her during the whole game. She said it was absolutely insane there. That would have been fun experiencing in that country.

This was sad to hear of his passing. He's been battling cancer the past two years. Ron was a favorite of mine growing up. His performance in "Blue Steel" as the pyschotic killer on the loose always will stand out to me. He was very talented and surely will be missed. Rest in peace Ron.

OMG, you just made my day!!!! I hope this book lives up to my expectations. We haven't really recieved a great bio on Clint yet.

I laughed out loud, that is great!!   Somebody had too much fun with that, what a hoot!!

hahaha oh yeah. This never gets old. I still laugh when I watch it occationally.

Anybody around here going to be watching Watchmen this weekend? It looks cool.

Yes, I'll be going to see it Christopher. It has caught my interest in the midst of all this advertising and hype surrounding it.

Clint Eastwood Westerns / Re: The Finale Of Unforgiven
« on: March 03, 2009, 10:40:55 PM »

This makes no sense whatsoever. The ending sums up the William Munny perfectly. In his mind William went clean and was not the person he once was but in all reality that wasn't the case. When cornered or threatened in any way, the real William Munny awakened.
