I got Raymond Burr alongside Rip Torn (City Heat) in Airplane II.

Actually for Cameron Diaz I was thinking of a non-Leeson connection... Jim Carey.

Questions & Answers / Re:Honkytonk Man lyrics
« on: May 04, 2004, 08:58:49 AM »
OK - I said i'd tab it but couldn't really be bothered so here are just the chords.  Strumming is simple up and down at a regular rythum.  Capo at second fret to play along with Clint.  I tried adding a harmonica solo as well which sounded pretty good.  Just add an extra non singing verse or chorus and improvise a solo on guitar or harmonica and its sounds good.

I've also tabbed the Unforgiven theme in the past and put it on the old web board.  Maybe a moderator could add a link if possible or PM me if you want it and i'll do it again and stick it on the board.  Enjoy.

Quote
Capo on second.

(G) I've never seen you (B7) look quite so sad
I've (C) never felt me (G) feel quite so bad
And (C) I know we both (G) feel that (B7) we have been (Em) had
Well (A7) I guess we were just not that (D7) strong
So (C) I lost my (G) woman and you (B7) lost your man
And (C)  who knows who's (G) right and who's (B7) wrong
But (C) I've got my (G) guitar and I've got a (C) plan
Throw (G) your arms (D7) around this honkytonk (G) man

Chorus
Throw (C) your arms around this honkytonk (G) man
And (C) we'll get through this night the (Am) best way we (D7) can
It's (C) the best ol' pain (G) killer since (B7) hurtin (C) began
Throw (G) your arms around (D7) this honkytonk (G) man

(G) I  miss that woman and (B7) you miss him too
But (C) there's not a hell, of (G) alot we can do
But (C) cling to each (G) other till (B7) the hurtin is (Em) through
And the (A7) hurt can only last just so (D7) long
So (C) you be my (G) woman and i'll (B7) be your man
Even (C) if just (G) for a (B7) while
I (C) still got my (G) guitar and I've got a (C) plan
Throw (G) your arms around (D7) this honkytonk (G) man

Chorus twice to finish

I can't think of any Clint film where he uses a bottle of Fairy Liquid :-\.  Or is there a scene where he washes dishes in The Bridges of Madison County :P.

Ok Charlotte Cornwell who was in White Hunter, Black Heart.  I was struggling because it is the only Eastwood film I haven't seen as I refuse to watch it until it becomes available on region 2 which at this rate might be years away. >:(

General Discussion / Re:Clint films based on books.....
« on: April 26, 2004, 02:53:51 PM »
I haven't read Mystic River but have read that it is a far better novel than the adaption to screen.   While not a massive fan of the film I thought it was certainly  a worthwhile watch so the book should be good.

General Discussion / Re:Clint films due for a special edition DVD
« on: April 26, 2004, 02:46:52 PM »
While it is great to see new editions of Eastwood films coming out I personally would rather the studios stopped ripping people off by releasing vanilla DVDs only to bring out special editions later.

Why don't they concentrate on releasing the best possible package in the first place.  As a matter of fact why don't they just release some of the films on DVD we have been waiting for for the past 5 years.  Where are the region 2 versions of White Hunter, Bronco, Any Which Way etc etc?  and I'm not talking about any releases on those other rip off 'collction' or 'legend' titles or whatever other  important and eutopian sounding word they want to title the package with.

Sorry... I forgot economics.  :swear:

Just realised I got it wrong again.  Polanski directed Chinatown but didn't appear in it as far as I know.  Back to the drawing board and beer ???
