Hey JSE great to see you again.

I think I will wait until HPD is released in the UK on Blue-ray.  Even if it is ages away. Thank you for the links.  O0

Hi Lin,

I'll probably wait too...now that they've made the jump to Blu-ray I'm sure they'll release them here soon enough.

Movie Night / Re: Movie night

I'm up for a Movie Night if any one else is interested. It's been a while since the last one and even longer for me. :)

Would love to see Thunderbolt and Lightfoot again, The Beguiled or The Eiger Sanction...but any movie is OK with me.

Collectors' Corner / Re: Question for the Clint Eastwood collectors

I used to collect absolutely everything and had so many items it was a full time job to find places for it all. Nowadays I only collect candid photos / slides, the movies and TV shows and any TV appearances Clint has made and the soundtracks.

Hi Davy,

I've just noticed that there is a 60 minute DVDR someone is selling called Behind the Scenes: Volume 4 that apparently contains behind the scenes of the making of:

Emporer of the North, The Train Robbers, Mc Q, Magnum Force, The Gauntlet, The Outlaw Josey Wales, Class of 44 and Dog Day Afternoon

I've emailed and asked if they know how long the making of segment for The Gauntlet is so will let you know what they come back with. Have you seen this one before?

Hi Davy,

I've not seen the Making of The Gauntlet either, I'm still keeping an eye out for anything I haven't got...I'll have to get around to posting a complete list of what I have that isn't available on DVD for trading. Recently found a copy of that 'At Home With Clint Eastwood' short on tape which I've converted to DVD. The quality isn't great as I guess someone took it from the 16mm but it is good to have a copy anyway, especially Clint in 1970!

I'm a bit disappointed with the 20 Blu-ray release as, apart from the new documentary, I have all of the movies already. Was hoping they would include some other Clint movies from Warner.

Some potentially good news though is that High Plains Drifter, Joe Kidd and Two Mules for Sister Sara are being released on Blu-ray on May 8th 2013. At the moment the release is limited to Netherlands for some reason but hopefully this means they have remastered the movies and will be releasing them in the UK and US soon.

You will be able to buy them from here if you just can't wait for the versions in your country! I don't think they can be pre-ordered just yet.
(shipping charges outside the EU can be expensive)
