What does Clint do in his time off? Some "stars" like Bill Shatner ride Tennesse Walkers or Saddlebreds, Alice Cooper plays golf, anyone know what the big man (with no name) does for recreation?

I do know Clint likes golf too. Hey, maybe him and Alice could get together! :D

Yeah Golf definately

Listening to Jazz music, reading new books and new screen plays

What would be interesting is to know what films the man himself likes to sit down and watch

I would say he likes Capra movies, westerns ... well, old movies in general I guess.

I don't know for you, but it's pretty difficult for me to imagine him watching a sci fi film like Star Wars or The Matrix -well, maybe Star Wars after all it's a classic, but definitely not The Matrix  ;D  ... it just doesn't sound like him  ;) -besides there are no special FX in his movies, so I think it's a sign  ;)... but who knows, maybe I'm 100% wrong,  maybe he likes that kind of movies  ???

 ??? ??? ??? ???

yeah i concur AB I cant see CE being a big sci fi or cgi fan, i reckon John Houston and Sam Peckinpah are big in the Eastwood household.

I wonder who Clint would class as his favourite actors ????

Shortly after posting this question I found another post about Clint's workout regime. What a great read. I think it was by KC from an old Muscle and Fitness article. Anyway, I never knew the man trained so hard:  weights, cardio, diet including lots of soy. The man is definately planning on sticking around for a while, much unlike his characters.

Who Clint likes to watch? Good question... I'd guess:
Charleton Heston
Burt Reynolds
Jimmy Stewart (only this time of year)
and the Duke

I think with his fittness training, golf, reading and planning new movies and spending time with his family there isn't much time left for anything else.  I can 'see' him reading and agree that Sci fi. isn't likely to be his thing.  Well I could be really wrong about this but it is nice to guess. ::)

I've wondered before why Eastwood never acted in a peckinpah film.........

I'd say Clint would be a big fan of Steve McQueen ;).

Hey JK thanks for reminding me of the Muscle and Fitness interview thread, great reading, just another example of Clint being the hardest actor in Tinsel Town.

That man is definately the real deal.

Hey Slacker,

Clint did a M&F interview?  Did it have a photoset? Very Interesting 8).

Eastwood was featured on the cover of Muscle & Fitness twice, in January 1988 and in January 1991. The magazines turn up pretty regularly on eBay, usually for a couple of dollars, if anyone's interested in seeing the pictures. Here's a link to an auction with a "buy it now" price of $2.50 for the 1988 issue ...

For the 1991 issue, there's a copy in an eBay "store" (not an auction) going for $8.99.

It was Allycat, not yours truly, who was nice enough to copy part of the article from 1991 and post it here. You'll find it in this thread ...

Vik.  I lol at your idea that Clint knits however there is no reason why he wouldn't.   My Dad used to knit and design sweaters suitable for golf or anything really.   I still think that he plays golf a lot, then that could be to show off his knitting.    (Sorry Mr. Eastwood) ::)
