Hey everyone, we've just had our 10,000th post on the new board!  That's 10,000 posts in just a little over four months.  Guess we've been a little busy, huh?  ;D

And to celebrate this occasion, the member who posted the 10,000th post will be getting a nice little package of Eastwood goodies from the three Mods.  Congratulations, DOUG.... you are the 10,000th poster!

I'll contact you off the board to get the info needed to get this package to you.

I'm so glad this is going to one of our most valuable members... someone who's really added a lot to our discussions.  Thanks, Doug... and everyone else who helps to make this board so great.  :)

Ditto on that one. Doug's added a lot of great stuff to the film discussions that I've learned from. :)

WOW!  That's amazing.  And I never win anything.  It was probably for a completely frivolous post too... :D

Thank you, and thanks for the kind words.

It was for this ...
we'll let it slide little bill, you still have time to "discover" The Beatles... ;)

Heard a good interview with Simmons where he talked about his upbringing ... he was quite sheltered when he came to the U.S. and was quite blown away by the "popular culture."  He pretty much soaked up everything at that point ... and became Gene Simmons... :)
 ;)

It's not completely frivolous, he mentions The Beatles!  8)

Doug, KC and I were waiting for you to post last night for what seemed like forever.  You were the only one on the board besides us and we were wondering if you'd ever say something!  ;D

Hey, the package just arrived!  Let's see, I got...

The Spaghetti Western soundtracks (A step up from the RA's I had on my computer).  GBU is on now.

Music for the Movies of Clint Eastwood.

The Book The Films of Clint Eastwood.

Video tapes of Every Which Way But Loose and Any Which Way You Can.

And a 8 x 9.5 picture of Clint from OLJW:

I think I have a good frame for it, too.

Pretty cool, all on the account of making a post.... :)

Thanks to Matt, KC, and mgk!

Congrats, again.  :)

Yikes, you caught me, KC.  It got placed right between a book on the solar system and an encyclopedia on wildlife animals ... it was about the same size as those two. ::)  Now there's a good organizational system!  However, it was placed in the living room bookshelf, reserved for books to show how intellectual and intriquing I am .... ;D  However, I was inspired to reorganize my video/dvd collection, with Clint dominating the top shelf.  Of course.  When your book is out, let me know.

Actually, it's a good idea to shelve similarly sized books together (it helps to keep them from warping out of shape), and if you only have a few in that particular format, no reason why they shouldn't represent a mixed bag of categories.

Anyway, Clint's a star ... so the book on the solar system fits in ... and Callie in High Plains Drifter called Clint's character an "animal" ("Well, you have a way of bringing that out!" he retorted) ... so the encyclopedia is in its place, too.  ;)

So, y'all are looking for another contest, eh?  Okay... but this time... it's gonna take a little bitta work to win.

Go to this thread:  Non-Eastwood Quotes

First one to answer correctly gets a choice of one of the following reprint posters:  A Fistful of Dollars, Dirty Harry or the Unforgiven poster which features Eastwood, Freeman, Hackman and Harris.   These are from all three of the mods, as we've put together a few things we didn't need in our collection for a few contests like this.  Yes, we ship overseas.  :)

NO GUESSING! If you think you know the movie, look it up.

We have a winner in the latest contest.  Red got the answer to the Non-Eastwood quote.  Thanks to everyone who was racking their brains trying to figure it out, and congrats to Red!
