The one that your link said for me was "ABC" by the Jackson 5. But every other resource I have used has said The Guess Who's "American Woman". Including this site... http://www.thisdayinmusic.com/birthdayno1According to that one, the number one song in the U.S. was, indeed, "American Woman" while the number one song in the UK and also in Canada was Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit in the Sky", and the number one song in Australia was The Beatles' "Let it Be".
