Man, my thinking is getting so disorganized in my "old age". I meant to include above that the name of the band that did it originally was Dead or Alive, like it says on the video... it's not Culture Club, they're just a band with a similar vibe going on.

I took another look at the original video after watching the Flo Rida version (and I do like that one as well). Robert Arquette, in that original, with some of his dance moves reminds me of Rick Astley from a few years later (1987's "Never Going to Give You Up).

I've listened to this some more, and I do really dig it. Not a whole lot has changed in the media over the years.

Yeah, it really is a great song! It's got a great groove, and of course it sounds like the Eagles, but I actually feel like it has a Pink Floyd vibe a little bit too.
