Movie Night - Paint Your Wagon (Drinking Game Version) Sunday February 21, 2016

I've thought about it, but I live in horse & buggy country.  What that means is, we have one source of internet (because CenturyLink has a monopoly on the area).  Streaming is questionable at any time, but service on Sundays of an afternoon are the very worst.  Everyone (who isn't Amish) is home and online.  There aren't any towns in our county where stores (except gas stations) are open on Sunday.  And sorry, Matt, you wouldn't be able to find anything of an alcoholic nature here, either.  Ben Rumson would have absolutely no use for our community.

That's really interesting. My father lives in a similar type town, but god knows that man would drive to hell and back for his booze.

And, I do want to make it clear that our drinking game can be anything. I'm probably the only one foolish enough to actually be drinking alcohol, but it will be small beer shots since it will be a lot of drinking. So, pick your favorite drink. The idea on this one is just to have fun.  Without the drinking game portion of it, I'm not sure we'd all find enough to talk about during this one!

I tried to get one of the brands of Aussie beer SK recommended, but our local stores don't carry any of them. Yeah, Foster's is our only choice. So I decided to get one a little closer to home.

I don't think a gallon of coffee could keep me awake for much more than 15 minutes of Where Eagles Dare at a time ... still working on that one.

Well I blew it guys... I thought my golf tournament was a one day deal and it ended up being Sat and Sun.... So I won't be able to make the movie.  Really bummed.

[Matt]

  Join us if you get it at some point Sunday while we're still going. We don't start til almost dark in our time zone... and it's a loooong movie.

There's a chance I could be a little late. If so, I'll try to get caught up with wherever we are in the movie.

I'm so sorry, but I won't be able to make it.  I can get the movie, but haven't got the time.  I didn't plan on missing out on the entire week.  I've been out of commission with the flu since last Monday.  The whole family has been!!  I'm still not all better, but I've got to go to work tomorrow and someone  has to do the laundry and clean the house.  I just found out this morning that my parents will grace me with their presence tomorrow.  I think the bathrooms ought to be cleaned before they get here.  It's really easy to hear my mother think. 

I shall rumble the songs along with Lee Marvin (my voice is that low right now) and keep in tune with you all.  I'm so sorry to miss out on this one.  I'll try whenever we have another movie night.

Sorry we'll miss you Elizabeth. I was just looking, and it appears we never did Sudden Impact as a Movie Night. If that's true (I'll need to double check), we should make that our next one. Lots of great lines in that one.

Anyway, I just finished putting my dinner together.



I think I'm the only one drinking... but am I also the only one that did a bean snack? If you did, make me feel better and post a pic.

Now, off to grab a few beers and the right sized glass.

I have to work in the morning, which I will probably do tired. With all the pauses, it'll be close to 2am before I can get to bed.

And please, give me a heads up before the intermissions. I have no idea where they should be since I haven't seen this before.

Man, there was a lot of coordinating to make this happen. I'm coordinated now! You can check the movie and the board clock, and the minutes seconds on the DVD should match.
