Ok....Now I make a poll, and Im not even sure for who to vote myself ;D. I think Ill go with Tyne Daly, because I thought her interaction with Harry made "the enforcer" a lot more interesting.
I like the other 2 also.

Well well, looks like its up to you guys, tell me who you like best.

I pick Chico from the original. He's pretty lucky too, as far as Harry's partners are concerned.

I vote for Tyne Daly. She and Harry had a good chemistry in their back and forth banter and criticism. I always have a good time watching those two go at it. She boarders on useless a couple times but frequently redeems herself. Overall Daly ranks as a great partner for Callahan.

I went with Chico because you learn most about Harry in the first film and I think some of that is down to his interaction with his new partner.

Let's not forget Frank DiGiorgio either. He was teamed with Harry, on and off, in the first three movies and he is also important in establishing the 'Dirty Harry' persona.

There was also Al Quan.........

I hated them all, because Harry hated them.  Remember Harry has no favorites. That's why they call him Dirty Harry.  ;)

But if I had to pick one , I would pick Chico.

I know Harry liked them later.  But that was just a little play on words from the first "Dirty Harry".  When Chico asks Frank DiGiorgio, what kinds of people Harry likes.
In the movie they use words that are not proper on this forum and in everyday use.  Thats why my post is worded like that.  ;)

....he respected her, that's for sure..
I would have to go with Chico, followed by meathead (only cause he cut the cheese with more grace and moved slightly faster than Frank DiGeorgio) ;) ;D ;D

Early Smith.
Kept his cool really well in the store shoot-out, and stuck till the end unlike Chico.
With Daly i just see Lacy, i'm sorry.

I agree, it's a shame he didn't make it through the whole series.

I liked Chico the best, though I felt the worst for Early because he dies in a pretty f**ked up way, and other cops had been betting on that. Though he's not part of the poll, my second favorite partner is Horace from SI. It pissed me off so much when those scumbags kill him and meathead, and you can tell Harry is enraged cuz the crooks have made it personal.

I wonder if Harry feels guilty for what happens to his partners. He probably feels largely responsible for their fates, since they are killed or wounded because they work with a cop that is not liked by too many hoods.

The Character played by Evan Kim in "Dead Pool" didn't even make the list.  I guess he was that bad.

I thought Chico was cool because he never got pissed at Callahan even after:

DiGiorgio:  Harry hates everybody

Chico:  How does he feel about Mexicans?

DiGiorgio:  WHy don't you ask him?

Callahan:  ESPECIALLY Spics!   :'(

I'd like to write a brief fanfic story in regards to the aftermath of "Magnum Force" right from the time Harry walks away from the burned out shell of Briggs' car. Harry sees an oncoming police car. The officer tells Harry about Early being killed in the bomb explosion and also that Captain Avery wants Harry to get to City Hall, pronto. I guess the partner deaths Harry might've taken the hardest was that of DiGiorgio and Moore in "The Enforcer". One thing that bother me though is that when Early's death is acknowledged by Kate, she mentions that he was killed in 1972 when it should've been 1973 unless there were parts of Magnum Force that were filmed in 1972. I wish someone in the know would post the filming/production timeline info on the DH movies.
