I would'nt know how to link AKA (damn internet )
Its in the review for the Redford film in Jan's Sight & Sound mag
The direct quote is
"Grann notes that Tucker's expansive memoirs were rejected by Clint Eastwood, among others"
Originally from David Grann's New Yorker source article apparently..
Here is a link to the original New Yorker article by David Grann: https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2003/01/27/the-old-man-and-the-gunI'll quote the entire paragraph that mentions Clint: In 1993, he was released, at the age of seventy-three, and settled into the peach-colored house in Pompano Beach, which his wife had bought for them. He polished his manuscript and set up a music room in the den, where he gave saxophone and clarinet lessons for twenty-five dollars an hour. “We had a wonderful life,” his wife said. Tucker recalls, “We used to go out dancing. She’d dress up real pretty, and I’d show her off.” He composed music for her. “He has all these talents that had been wasted all these years,” she told me. From time to time, he played in local jazz clubs. “I got used to being free,” he says. But his manuscript failed to captivate people as he had hoped it would—“I called Clint Eastwood’s secretary, but she said, ‘Unless you have an agent, he won’t read it’ ”—and the author of “The Can Opener” increasingly seemed trapped, an ordinary old man. This was before his last series of bank robberies, at the age of 78. I haven't seen The Old Man and the Gun, so I don't know how the movie version fits in.

Hi Aka, I just edited your post to put the [ end quote ] notation at the end of my quote so board members would see your comment better.
I read up on this because I thought (while recognizable) that she hadn't aged very well, and that's when I saw she was 7-8 months pregnant at the time of the filming. She said she had her eggs frozen at the age of 40, and did IVF, with a 3% to 4% chance of success, and beat the odds. She also had a rather hard life since her "fall from grace" after her divorce from Stallone, and has been fighting alcohol addiction for decades. From what I remember, they went through a really ugly divorce, so it was big of both of them to appear in this together.

If she froze her eggs at 40, that sounds more realistic. I did have a friend who gave birth around 41 or 42. I think after that, the chances of getting pregnant are small, and after 45, its practically impossible for almost everyone, so I was shocked that at 54 she was able to have a child.

The baby is healthy! This article talks a bit about the pregnancy: After more than 10 years of trying to conceive through in vitro fertilization and told she had only a slim chance of getting pregnant, Nielsen and her husband, Italian model Mattia Dessi, 39, are now glowing in newborn bliss.
“She’s healthy, and she’s beautiful,” Nielsen, now 55, says of Frida in this week’s issue of PEOPLE. “I’ve gotten everything that I wished for.” https://people.com/parents/brigitte-nielsen-daughter-frida-first-photo-shoot-exclusive/
