With more minor celebrities..

I once sat next to Alicia de Larrocha at a concert.

I met a professional wrestler at a local mall years ago (maybe I was a teen at the time). His name is Virgil. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virgil_(wrestler) I remember seeing him on TV when I was a kid.

Ive really never met a celebrity, but I’ve had a couple celebrity sightings. One was Leslie Nielsen from the Naked Gun movies in Las Vegas. I saw him with my Mom, and as a kid liked those movies, so my Mom went up to him and asked him for an autograph on a napkin. I was pretty young, so I think I was too shy to ask myself. The other is I saw Hugh Laurie in a London airport at the baggage claim. At the time, I had never seen “House,” so although I recognized him, I didn’t really care. I later became a huge fan of that show, so it’s unfortunate I didn’t have that opportunity to meet after I had seen “House.”  I probably would have said hi!

Working on the Strip in Vegas I've had a few bland celebrity encounters. In fact they've all been bland. Guy I work with has been around for quite some time, and back when the casino I work at used to be more of a big deal place, celebrities used to come in all the time, and he had some great stories from the good ole days. But the best is a different co-worker was dealing roulette to a dark-haired woman and some guy was standing near the glass that protects the wheel, and we have to tell customers not to lean on or against the glass, so he turned to say something to the guy ... and it was Clint Eastwood, there with Dina. So he got to chat with Clint for a few minutes. I was instantly very jealous.

Turning this thread into jealousy of friends meeting Clint 😀

A few years back I got a txt from a musician friend who was watching Jazz musician Jamie Culham in a theatre in LA..
my friend (who I’m currently working for so I get him to repeat this story often) was watching the show from a private box standing next to Clint Eastwood.. they chatted a bit about the show etc... then I got a txt from my friend saying... standing and chatting with Clint...

Sooo  envious.

My friend also met David Bowie at a party in NY... thing is he’s not a fan of either... it’s just not fair 😩😂
