Was wondering if any of you feel that any Clint Eastwood films (or any one else’s really for that matter) suffered because the audience were aware of off screen relationships. By this I don’t mean the actor or actress’s performance. Guess Sondra Locke is the best example here. Did it effect the romantic illusion upon the big screen knowing that off screen they already had that relationship, or enhance it? Probably a bit clumsy the way I’m putting this, but hopefully you’ll know what I mean. For myself, it didn’t retract from the films at all. I tend usually to shut out the real world and allow myself to be drawn in to the story itself. Just wondered if it was the same for you all?

Except for the fact that i dont like Sondra Locknessmonster as an actress, it didnt matter much to me that clint and her vere a couple in real life. I think it has something to do with how much the relationship is "advertised" or known to the public. For example, i would never go and watch a movie with JLo (any movie with her in fact, come to think of it  ::)) and Ben Affleck.

When I started watching C.Wood movies, I didnt know S.Lo and himself and were a couple. I found out later that they were, but it never bothers me one bit when I watch the movies they were in together.
