Wild guess, assumes a lot and could very well be way off the mark: Nobody goes that crazy in Photoshop on accident, so it was deliberate. Why would the European release feature this intentional "aging" of Clint. Why silver him up? MAYBE... Because many Europeans are big fans of Clint as a director, perhaps more so in the last 15 years or so, as he has grown into a grand master, an elder statesmen of high quality filmmaking. So, when you release an older title featuring a much younger Eastwood in that marketplace, you try to age him visually on the cover to make the sale based on image association ("Hey is that Clint Eastwood the acclaimed director on the cover?" rather than, "Hey is that Clint Eastwood the American action star?") Such is my stab in the dark. Now as to the quality of the Photoshop work, well...

Wow, I think I went to bed last night with Two replies in this thread Misty you are right, the picture itself is not bad, I think I have many shots from the actual photo shoot, that were used on Magazine covers etc around the early 80's (minus the grey/silver paint job ) I'm sure Philo is familiar with these shots also... AND it is for real, I can work wonders with an airbrush, but I promise this is not my work!!! Yeah Video and DVD art sounds good Matt, are we talking just Eastwood or any subject? -Stranger-
