The November issue of the venerable organ of the British Film Institute, SIght and Sound, just arrived on these shores ... with a cover story on Eastwood's latest. (For some reason the cover picture of Sean Penn doesn't show him in his role in the film.)

The cover story is by Adrian Wooten. I haven't read it yet, but according to the blurb on the contents page:
Quote
Clint Eastwood has returned to pre-Dirty Harry days to make a crime film that matches the best of his Westerns.

After the honor of making the cover of Film Comment ... now Sight and Sound! Very nice!

I thought that was kinda strange?

When a man is chasing a woman through an alley with a butcher's knife and a hard-on, I figure he isn't out collecting for the Red Cross!
