I remember we had this on the old board.

I didnt know if anyone was going to copy the old post over, but if you are, just either close this one down and start the new one, or add to this one.

But if I remember correctly, the rules were simple.

Give an actors name and we must connect them to Eastwood through other actors (only movies to, not TV, as I learned.) in the least amount of connections.

Anyway, if there was more rules or anyone knows the full rules please post them.

I'll get us started again.

I saw McKean in a restaurant two weeks ago.  He was talking to that little red headed girl (Laura Ambrose) from 6 Feet Under.  I wanted to ask him about working with Clint, but I couldn't work up the nerve.

One of Mike Myers co-stars in the first Waynes World movie was Lara Flynn Boyle who was in The Rookie.

There's a much easier link and a one-stepper for Izzard: he co-starred in Shadow of the Vampire with John Malkovich, Oscar nominated for his assassin In the Line of Fire.

And just using Bogdanovich's The Cat's Meow,  also along for that journey with Eddie was Victor Slezak - who played the elder version of Francesca's son going through her trunk in The Bridges of Madison County.

Oliver Platt was in Bulworth with Isaiah Washington in 1998 ... a year before Washington co-starred in True Crime with Clint.  8)

How's about Hugo Weaving?

Hugo Weaving did the voice for 'Rex the Male Sheepdog' in Babe[/i] which starred James Cromwell who of course was in Space Cowboys with the man. (Eastwood)

Is this one acceptable KC?  :-\

Wham-Bam Van Damme was in the dreadful video-game-to-movie Street Fighter, which quite embarassingly was the late, great Raul Julia's last film. Raul of course was the "German" car thief in The Rookie.

Do the films that Clint directed count or just the ones where he stars? ???

If so... Helen Hunt was in "Pay It Forward" with Kevin Spacey, and he was in "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil"

Yes, but she's also in Peggy Sue Got Married  which has Jim Carrey in a small part.  He is, of course, in The Dead Pool and Pink Caddy...

You post the next one, Xichado.  :) Even if yours isn't allowed - I've still got Xmas shopping to do!  :o

The Helen Hunt link I had in mind: long before she started winning Emmys and Oscars, she co-starred in the intentionally cheesy tongue-in-cheek low-budget '80s Sci-Fi Trancers pics with Tim Thomerson. Thomerson had a small but memorable role as the Highway Patrolman who pulls over Red to discover the stowaway in Honkytonk Man.

And yes, for purposes of this game in earlier incarnations on this board, we had been including Clint's credits as director but not actor (Bird, Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil, Breezy and the upcoming Mystic River).

Thank you Daisy and Holden.

It was the first time I played the game and I wasn't aware of the rules... plus I was mega-late to work this morning and I just typed the first thing that came to mind.

Daisy, I also noticed Helen Hunt the last time I saw Peggy Sue Got Married. She plays the role of Peggy's daughter.

I don't know if her name has been mentioned but since she is a bigger nut than moi ;D
