I had OUATITW in mind as a starting point but I guess the thought of her obscured the rest of the cast and the Leone connections from my mind  ::) (I must be having a late 20's hormonal crises... it's just me or it's getting hot in here)

Well, most of those guys I named from the cast of OUATITW had pretty small parts, so I could have said I wouldn't count 'em ... and I still would have gotten it with Fitzcarraldo. ;)

He was in The spy In the Green Hat(`66)with Rip Torn(Primo Pitt from City Heat) but that was part of the The Man From U.N.C.L.E series so I`m not sure if it counts.
There`s also film Cry Tough(`59)where Frank Puglia is with John Saxon(Luis Chama from Joe Kidd)

Anyway, he was in Michael Mann's Heat (1995) with Diane Venora (True Crime) and Dennis Haysbert (Absolute Power).

Frankie was in Come Blow Your Horn (1963) with Lee J. Cobb (Coogan's Bluff) ... in The Detective (1968) with Robert Duvall (Joe Kidd) ... and in Some Came Running (1958) and Can-Can (1960) with Shirley MacLaine (Two Mules for Sister Sara) (he was also in several documentaries with Shirley, and she had an uncredited bit as a "Tipsy Girl" in the 1960 Sinatra starrer Ocean's Eleven) ...

And Cannonball Run II (1984), which featured Sinatra as a character called "Frank Sinatra," also included the following Eastwood co-stars: Burt Reynolds (City Heat), Telly Savalas (Kelly's Heroes), Shirley MacLaine again, Catherine Bach (Thunderbolt and Lightfoot). Richard Kiel (Pale Rider), Mel Tillis (Every Which Way But Loose),  Dub Taylor (Thunderbolt and Lightfoot) ... I think that's most of them.

For a new one, how about that accomplished German actress ... and even more accomplished director, Margarethe von Trotta? (Unlike Clint, I believe she has never directed herself in a film.)

Since many German films are made for TV but released theatrically and/or shown in festivals abroad, I'll allow films labeled "TV" in the IMDb. And there is at least one one-stepper featuring Trotta as an actress ... There may be more among her films as director. ;)
