And, it's fine.

But, man... I've tried over and over again to try to get this one connection and I"ve used about 5 actors from the same film over some of my last turns, and the connection I've been looking for just never comes up.  :'(

Were you looking for Weathers and Thayer David (The Eiger Sanction) in Rocky, Matt?

Or maybe ... Weathers and Richard Kiel (Pale Rider) in Happy Gilmore?  ???

I'd done Richard Kiel before.... but YES... FINALLY!!!! I was looking for Thayer David from Rocky.  I saw him in that and didn't recognize him but I recognized his voice immediately. I've been really trying to get someone to find that connection. Thought I might have to actually offer up Butkus Stallone next time I was up if I'd have any luck.  ;)

Mickey Rourke was in Coppola's Rumble Fish (1983) with Dennis Hopper (Hang 'Em High), Chris Penn (Pale Rider), William Smith (Any Which Way You Can) and (for good measure) Laurence Fishburne (Mystic River).

Any Which Way You Can's William Smith....

Great answer, Gino M!

I note that Jo Ann Harris, who played the minx, Carol, in The Beguiled, was also in American Hot Wax.

By the way ...  I'll bet the connection Gant was looking for was High School Confidential (1957) ... featuring Jerry Lee Lewis as "himself" and William Smith from Every Which Way but Loose!  ;)
