Does this ring a bell, Gant? Ol' Tom was in something called
The Violent Enemy
(1968) with Ed Begley (
Hang 'em High
). (Of course, there IS also a Michael Hordern connection, via
Royal Flash
, 1975.

That's excellent, Gant, though it was a better known actor from
Firefox
whom I had in mind ... he had the lead role, and Helen played his lady. Do you know what film I'm thinking of?
Even if you don't ... you got it, give us a new one!

She was in The Deer Hunter as Steven's mother. The film was directed by Michael Cimino who had earlier directed Thunderbolt and Lightfoot.

This is probably far too easy but what about Richard Dreyfuss.

I was thinking of Dreyfuss in Jaws, Music by John Williams who also did music for Eiger Sanction but yeah there are loads.
For Polanski what about Chinatown featuring John Huston who directed THE Unforgiven. Do names of films count or does it have to be people? (I know it's not exact but it'snot far off).

bigdai -
If I understand you correctly, you're making a connection from Roman Polanski through John Huston, the director of
The Unforgiven.
If that is indeed what you are doing,
The Unforgiven
is not a connection to Eastwood.
Eastwood directed
Unforgiven
which is a different movie than
The Unforgiven
which was directed by John Huston.
If I didn't understand you correctly, please let me know.
Thanks.

MGK I think we are on different wave lengths.
I obviously realise that they are completely and utterly different films (being a 40 year time difference and having different directors to name but two differences) hence the stress in my post on THE in John Huston's THE Unforgiven. I was making the link that Huston's film was very similar in title, though as I said not exactly the same as Clint's Unforgiven, without a THE.
If the association does not qualify then that is cool, it was a bit of a guess. However I am wise enough and long enough in the tooth to know that they are different films.

No problem, bigdai - I think we're on the same page now. Didn't mean to iimply that you don't know your films.
Anyway, let's both go see if we can find a more direct link.

Hi bigdai..may I interject
The link has to be via actors/actresses who have worked with both Eastwood and the person named in the last post..
not composers or directers of similar sounding movies.
ie.... Shirley Stoller was in The Deer Hunter along with Meryl who starred with Clint in Bridges...
So you are looking for an actor who has appeared alongside Roman Polanski and Clint....
I think that makes sense.........
hope so
