Pedro Gonzalez Gonzalez was in The High And The Mighty with Robert Stack. Robert Stack was in Airplane with Lloyd Bridges. Lloyd Bridges was in Hot Shots with Charlie Sheen. Sheen & Eastwood= The Rookie.

Very good, Richard Earl! Can you do it in ONE step, though?  ;)

I have tried to get this guy down to one step but cannot. What I have is Dwight Frye was in Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman with Lon Chaney. Jr. Lon Chaney Jr. was in Hillbillys In A Haunted House with John Carradine. John Carradine was in Peggy Sue Got Married with Jim Carrey. Jim Carradine and Clint Eastwood were in The Dead Pool. ;)

I'm sure Gant had a one-stepper in mind for Dwight Frye, but I can't find it ... can you find a two-stepper, though, Richard? I can see several of those.

Meanwhile ... Norman Fell was in Pork Chop Hill (1959) with Harry Guardino (Dirty Harry, The Enforcer, Any Which Way You Can) and Rip Torn (City Heat).

So my new one is ... Dwight Frye, again. ;)

Dwight Frye was in People vs. Dr Kildare with Dave Willock. Dave Willock was in Revenge Of The Creature with Clint Eastwood. The Frankenstein one is still bothering me. I will not give up man.

I hate to break the news, Richard, but for the purposes of this game we've kind of declared Eastwood's pre-starring roles "off limits."  ;)

Leslie Howard's most famous Hollywood role was as Ashley Wilkes in Gone with the Wind ... far down the cast list of that blockbuster is Alberto Morin, who played Rene Picard (uncredited). And Morin was General LeClaire in Two Mules for Sister Sara.

Next: Dwight Frye, looking for a two-step connection to a film with Clint in a starring role. Or better ... Gant's elusive one-stepper. ;)

Hemlock, I don't think that's the same person ... according to the IMDb, the first credited role for Caroline Frances Cooke was in Rose of San Juan (1913) ... assuming she was at least a teenager then, she'd have been pushing 80 by the time The Gauntlet was filmed in 1976. Son of Frankenstein (1939) is, in fact, her last credited role.

The earliest date the IMDb has a credit for Carole Cooke, on the other hand, is 1959 ... playing "herself" in an episode of  The Desilu Revue.

Carole Cook played the talkative waitress in The Gauntlet ... she looks to be forty-ish.

Lena Olin was in Romeo Is Bleeding with James Cromwell who was in Space Cowboys.
I do not see a one stepper with Dwight Frye.
