CvW, we prefer not to use the films that Eastwood appeared in before A Fistful of Dollars, which was his first starring role. Can you find a better one-stepper?

No Problem.

I did check page one of this thread  before I answered tgy's post and didn't see that rule about pre-Fistful films.

I think it's a good rule anyway.  Before I come up with a new first stepper why don't we let  someone answer tgy's post  correctly. I'll give it some more thought myself.

Incidentally, if anyone is interested in how Shemp Howard could possibly be connected to Clint, Shemp was in a film called 'Hellzapoppin' in 1941 that also featured Billy Curtis whom we all know as Mortcai in 'High Plains Drifter.'

You didn't really think I was going to connect Clint to a Three Stooges Short did you?

Lou Costello was in 'Comin Round The Mountain' with Robert Easton who played "Atwell" in ' Paint Your Wagon.'

Now you all know how I spent MY weekend.

I'll be back in a bit. I'm starting to look like Ben Rumson.

I don't have to guess that one too do I???!!! :o

I've seen enough Abbott and Costello cast lists to last me for quite some time, thank-you very much. Which coincidentally brings me to this well groomed fellow:

Next: The Wolfman- Lon Chaney Jr.

He met Lou Costello too.  Should've eaten 'im!!

Oh, and am I hallucinating or does the title of this thread look different than last week?

Just  for the record, the other Lou Costello one-stepper I had was via Abbott and Costello Meet the Keystone Kops (1955). Marjorie Bennett (Coogan's Bluff) had a small part in that, uncredited, according to the IMDb. ;)

Oh, and am I hallucinating or does the title of this thread look different than last week?

I don't think the thread title has changed since the thread was started ... back in December '02. What is the difference you think you may be ... "hallucinating"? ;)

I see what I did. Last week I was reading posts on pages 6 and 7,  where the subject on the individual posts read "degrees of seperation."  Guess I got distracted or forgot where I left off when I started reading again. I thought either someone had corrected it or I was imagining I actually saw it.  Man, I need a vacation!  Also I think I better spend less time on this board or pretty soon Mrs. van Wallach  is going to want a sepAration! :o

'High Noon' also featured Sheb Wooley from 'The Outlaw Josey Wales' and of course the 'Rawhide' series (which wouldn't have counted).

And Lon Chaney Jr. was also in the 1955 film,  'I Died a Thousand Times'  with cast members Dennis Hopper (Hang 'em High) and Dub Taylor (the gas station attendant in 'Thunderbolt and Lightfoot'.)

Nice job CL. Sorry my one-stepper wasn't as challenging as the last one.

Carry on.

Fionnula Flanagan was in 'The Divine Secrets of Ya Ya Sisterhood' with James Garner from 'Space Cowboys.'

It's going to take me awhile to read all the posts on this thread so I'll take a chance-

Also just discovered Ed Harris was born in Tenafly, N.J. which is about a mile from MY hometown.

Next in line: Nick Nolte

Oh yeah, that's right. Was originally thinking of The rock (which would have given the same result)

Nick Nolte was in Mulholland Drive with  John Malkovich (In the line of fire)

Next one : Ron Perlman
