Just sitting here and watching my old classic dvd the ox bow incident and how much its just like clints Hang em High,
Up until the posse hangs (the wrong) men and then how they feel when the find out the truth. I love Henry Fonda!

The Ox-Bow Incident has come up in threads in the past when we've discussed all time favorite westerns and even when we had the Hang 'Em High film discussion the comparison was mentioned. That discussion can be found here.

Clint Eastwood on many occassions has stated that The Ox-Bow Incident is one of his favorite films.

I hope you don't mind icnmedia but we Mods changed the title of the thread to make it more descriptive. 8)

I still like the comparison to clint and Fonda. Though I know he's said he's always 'fonda' James cagney. (Haha).

Back to Hang em high, I wonder if the comparison was conscience (Sp!), if so how much?

I know it set off quite a few films with the same theme.
