In A Perfect World (I didn't vote for it, BTW :D :D), all Clint films would have special editions. Unfortunately, this is not a perfect world, so which of these films would you MOST like to see a SE of????? I, of course, didn't include Dirty Harry, Josey Wales, Unforgiven, In The Line Of Fire, or TGTBATU becuase a special edition either already exists (or is going to by May 18th). Instead, I included some of his best and/or most popular films

Sorry about the kind of abrupt stop. High is supposed to be High Plains Drifter. I was typing it in when I accidently hit enter. Sorrry. :( :( :( Anyway, after about 5 days, I'll lock the voting and we'll discuss a possible SE for the winner.

Play Misty for Me already has a special "collector's" edition with some great extras.

I went with The Beguiled, because it's about my favorite out of those (I own the Misty DVD, and I was thinking it has nice extras on it, too).

I went with Bridges because I love that film and I would be interested to hear more of Meryl Streep's thoughts on the film.

I chose Paint Your Wagon. The seven hour film is never enough for me... gotta have more.   ;)

Maybe there's some rehearsals on film somewhere... like "Gold Fever" before they got it really down good. Boy I'd love to hear that. Lay it on me!  ;D

My goodness, there's TWO votes for Paint Your Wagon, and one of 'em ain't MINE! :o

Did you really vote for that, Matt?

My second choice to The Beguiled would probably be Bridges (or High Plains Drifter), actually.

Nah, I voted for Bridges. Every minute of Paint Your Wagon pains me enough as it is. But Bridges is a great film. I'd enjoy seeing a documentary on that.

So that means there's two other people who have voted for it. Woo-hoo! I'm not the only one who at least enjoys the movie.

Bridges has been on the rise for me in it's standing of my favorite Eastwood movies. I've always liked it, but I'm starting to see it as one of his best.

I chose Beguiled because I can remeber the first time I saw it, I thought it was excellent.

I like it, but it wasn't me. I voted for Every Which Way. It looks like a tie now. Hopefully somebody else votes for EWWBL, my favorite Clint film.

While it is great to see new editions of Eastwood films coming out I personally would rather the studios stopped ripping people off by releasing vanilla DVDs only to bring out special editions later.

Why don't they concentrate on releasing the best possible package in the first place.  As a matter of fact why don't they just release some of the films on DVD we have been waiting for for the past 5 years.  Where are the region 2 versions of White Hunter, Bronco, Any Which Way etc etc?  and I'm not talking about any releases on those other rip off 'collction' or 'legend' titles or whatever other  important and eutopian sounding word they want to title the package with.

Sorry... I forgot economics.  :swear:
