After another long hiatus, I've managed to get two more posts up since the start of the year. The first one may be of more interest to people on this Board. It's about some Scandinavian crime novelists I've enjoyed:

The other one is quite a long read, but it was a topic I found fascinating, so maybe some of you will too. In 1744, the city of Strasbourg threw a big party for the King of France, who was passing through, and a large crew of artists and artisans put together a book about it (there being no YouTube videos in those days):
