I had a conversation with someone about the whole issue with another eastwood western. Considering Clint is getting old, why can't his son play in a western? I mean it would be great to see his son play maybe the next "The Man With no name" or something. What do you people think?

Kyle is a jazz musician but hey he can also consider wearing a pancho and smoking a cigar!

Kyle decided to pursue music as a career rather than acting. He is now in his mid-thirties. I can't imagine why he would want to plunge back into acting at this point in his career.

well hes obviousely not like his father then. Still, I think it would make his family even more famous if he also played in westerns!

He may have other goals in view than making his family more famous. ;)

Kyle isn't like his father because he wants to be his own person, follow his own dream and have a successful career doing something he loves?  I think you're not giving Kyle enough credit... I think in that sense he's very much like his father. He loves playing jazz music, and he's not about to try to imitate his father and be a western actor because he's "Clint Eastwood's son".

Personally, I don't see how he could make his family even more famous... Clint is a legend who will never be forgotten. I, personally, don't think that even if Kyle did want to be an actor that he would have the presence of his father. He certainly doesn't share his father's love for it.

Kyle plays the stand-up bass. You can see him playing in the jazz band in The Bridges of Madison County where Robert takes Francesca to somewhere where no one will recognize her.

According to the IMDb page, he composed two of the songs on the Mystic River soundtrack.

He released a CD called "From There To Here" in 1998.

It seems to have received good reviews. You can order a copy through Amazon. Using THIS link will benefit this site.

I think I have a magazine article from a few years back that focuses on Kyle and his career. It's too late for me to look for it tonight, but I'll try to remember to look for it and post some further information soon.

Thanks, Matt!

Here's a link to a 1999 interview with him ... the interviewer is his stepmom.  8)

Very good, Sport! Yes, Kyle is the little tyke who is brutally massacred in the pre-credits sequence. Maybe that put him off the idea of a further career as a movie cowboy ...  :o

Getting killed in my first movie role would probably put me off of acting too.

Thanks for the compliment.  8)

What about "Brother of actress Alison Eastwood," too!

Little Franny has only been in two pictures (both produced by her dad) ... Alison's resumé runs to twenty movies now, and only the first four are Clint Eastwood productions. Also, the IMDb reminds us that Alison is "Half-sister of Kimber Eastwood," who has five movies to her credit.

By the way, when I looked at it, Kyle's IMDb page looked like this ...

Kyle is currently living here in London and plays gigs every so often at very nice low key venues.
