Sadly Gene Pitney has died in Cardiff this morning.    He had given a concert on Tuesday night.   

I liked his songs sepecially 24 Hours From Tulsa and Rubber Ball.

Damn , that's a shame . Pitney had a unique if not great voice that perfectly suited hits like " The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance " & Tulsa . I particularly liked Somethings Got A Hold Of My Heart  . The man had talent and the music world will miss him .

Sad news.  People took the mickey out of him, but I enjoyed his stuff, especially his duet with Marc Almond, Tulsa and Rubber Ball. 8)

I was never a massive fan of his voice but it's still sad news, sepecialy as he was only 65.
 I remember liking the video he shot with Almond in Las Vegas..
