My personal fav...I dont know, maybe Jerry seinfeld :)
I like chris rock and martin lawrence also

Personnally, I think Adam Sandler is great.
I dont know why people keep putting him down...Of course his humour is not really smart or anything , but then its not meant to be that way. His movies are just light hearted comedies and if hes always playing the same lovable goof character, its because thats the way his fans like him.
I wish people would take art (movies, music whatever) more for what it is..accusing Adam sandler of not beeing funny because he's not intellectual enough is like saying Evil dead was a bad movie beacause its not realistic :-\

as for JIm Carrey..I watched man on the moon yesterday and its definately his best performance to me...I like him in a couple other flicks but I dont think I can sit through any of the Ace Ventura's

I like John stewart too

Sandler is an easy target for alot of people.  "Happy Gilmore" is hilarious, one of the best sports movies I've seen.  "Billy Madison" was pretty good and "The Wedding Singer" was great.
Now I do think that the one where he played the son of the devil was crap and "Eight Crazy Nights" was maybe the worst animated movie I've ever seen.

He is hit and miss with movies these days, but still a funny guy.

I think Sandler is very funny. His stand-up isn't the best, but he was halarious on SNL. Some of his movies are funny also.

I used to like Jon Steward. But recently he has just bashed Bush. He would do 2 Bush jokes, than 1 Kerry to "balance it". Just kinda ticked me off a little.

Conan, I know I've said it before, but I am 100% in agreement with you on both of those movies, and also with your opinion on other Sandler films.

And good post, Misty.  :)

happy gilmore was good, i nearly died laughing at the "you eat pieces of sh!t for breakfast " gag, but i never got into the rest of his stuff. little nicky wasn't that bad though.
seinfeld, it was a bit weird wasn't it, the sitcom was a bit hit and miss but his stand up routine at the end was class.

My favorite Aussie comedian was Graham Kennedy.Sadly he passed away a couple of weeks ago.He was known as The king of television here down under. There was no one bigger during the early years of t.v. in the 50's.I only remember him from the 70's game show Blankety Blanks, but have seen clips from his early work and it would have me rolling on the floor. The man was a genius.Unless you're an Aussie you probably have never heard of him apart from several film roles including The Last Angry Shot,The Club and The Killing Fields among others.
