I know that one, because it always reminds me of my so-called "career."  ::)

Escape from Alcatraz. The guard telling Morris he's been assigned a job in the carpentry shop ...

Quote
GUARD: It's a paying job.

MORRIS: How much?

GUARD: Fifteen cents an hour.

MORRIS: Well, I always knew crime would pay.

GUARD: It's a job.

New one: "Our destinies are intertwined."

KC, that sounds like something Marlene from Honkytonk Man would say to Red.

Bronco Billy ... John Arlington to Edgar Lipton ... he is talking about his allegedly late wife, Miss Lily.  :o

I haven't got a new one just now. If you do, Matt, go ahead and post it!  :)

Okay, sorry to hold up this thread so long. Here's another non-Eastwood quote:

Quote
Mustn't interrupt daddy.

(I was going to use this for the "New Dialogue Game", but didn't know how hard it would be to find a "mustn't" or an "interrupt".

The film is White Hunter, Black Heart, of course, and am I glad it is finally out on DVD! The speaker is Mrs. MacGregor ... guilty of looking inattentive during Wilson's little "story" about a woman he had known once upon a time in London ... ;)

I'll post a new one in a little while ... if I can think of a good one!

Remember this game? Anyone want a hint on this one?
Hey, you can't ALL be eating turkey already!

You didn't ask for a hint ... I'll give you one anyway: It's a film recently released on Region 1 DVD.  ;)

You gots it, Gant! I thought we were stuck here with the Leith police forever!  :o

Can you think of where in the film and/or to whom he says it?  :D

Even if you can't, can you give us a new one? There hasn't been any action in this thread in ages!

For the record, Murphy (Burt) says it to Tuck (Tab Thacker), the huge fellow who guards the door at the speakeasy where Ginny sings.

Quote
MURPHY: Hello, Tuck. How you feeling?

TUCK: Good.

MURPHY: Getting plenty of raw meat, are you?

TUCK: Huh?

MURPHY: That's good. Say "The Leith police dismisseth us."

TUCK: What?

MURPHY: It's a test they give radio announcers.

TUCK: What?

MURPHY: You don't want to be a radio announcer?

TUCK: Nah!

MURPHY: C'est la vie, Tuck!

TUCK:  Yeah!

As for yours ... it's from The Gauntlet ... the Constable (Bill McKinney) to Shockley, as they cruise in the purloined constable's car with Mally (Sondra Locke) in the back seat.

New one:
