Having followed Matts instructions and PM'd him with my answer first I can state that the quote is from Any which way you can and is spoken by Jack Wilson in Philos local bar when he gets into a fight so that he can check out Philos style.

New one soon.

Having followed Matts instructions and PM'd him with my answer first I can state that the quote is from Any which way you can and is spoken by Jack Wilson in Philos local bar when he gets into a fight so that he can check out Philos style.

This is the correct scene in the right movie.  Small glitch on the answer, but definitely acceptable.  This scene unfolds with a bar patron yelling out: "Hey get someone who can sing around here!" after Laura Lee's performance.

Jack Wilson said to the man:  "Uhhhh that wasn't polite."

The same bar patron replied:  "The complaint department is open now, Sonny."

And that's the answer to the trivia question,

As Red said, a big fight then occurs where Wilson helps Philo take on the raucous crowd and studies his fighting style.

Red, contact me off the board with your shipping information and your choice of poster.  Congratulations!

;D Neither one of them could sing... could've been in either movie!

Since we turned the page, I'll repost the next quote that Red put up:

To elaborate too much would compel me to get out the DVD and actually watch part of the damb thing!  ::)

But does it refer to those miners that Rumson and Pardner encounter ... with whom they embark on the scheme of "mining" subterranean No Name City?

Oh, does that line come right near the end of the movie, after the town has collapsed? Perhaps when Rumson is in his horse n' buggy heading out of town, and finds out that those people who had been staying with them is going to be staying around there to rebuild the city?

It's been a while since I've seen it, but I figured I'd see if I had some idea to this.

(I don't have the DVD, so I can't check)

If Red's happy with that, KC, you can go on. I was just trying to see if I could "elaborate" a little. ;)

KCs answer is good enough for me. I was just trying to get someone to admit to watching Paint your Wagon  ;D   A film I am happy to own up to liking.

The quote is actually from the first time Ben Rumson takes Pardner into town on horseback with his leg still splinted and runs across some old cronies while crossing the river.

"Hand me down that can o'beans!"

I kinda like Paint... too, fellas!  Maybe it does have something to do with being British.  ;)

The movie was botched but the musical numbers are fine, as are the performances.  Not the disaster people make out.

My second Eastwood movie, after Eagles - a wet afternoon in Bournemouth when I was about five...  :D
