One thing about the updated board that I'd been meaning to mention and that I REALLY like ... it is MUCH faster for me now, especially with Firefox.

Looking forward to that Cal.

It is also great to have the spell checker when you can't sleep and still posting at 5am.  :o

Hey, this message is not about the board so much as the actual site (clinteastwood.org).

Um, isn't it about time to add MILLION DOLLAR BABY to the filmography that's linked from the main page?  ;)

 :(

Oh, and the movie poster gallery that's linked from the site's main page stops at SPACE COWBOYS. Time to add MYSTIC RIVER and the new boxing film?

Wasn't the note "Last edit ..." that appears at the bottom of our posts when we edit them formerly in a smaller font, so it wasn't so conspicuous?

Also, how long is the "period of grace" that we now have before the note appears? I just made a brief edit immediately after posting, and it didn't show, but I've seen it inserted if I've waited just a few minutes ...

Like that!

There currently is a 90 second grace period for edits.

Speaking of overdue updates, the Timeline currently ends with ...

Quote
2000
Space Cowboys is released.

Shouldn't we add ...
Quote
  • 2000

Wins Career Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival

  • 2002

Directs and stars in Blood Work

  • 2003

Directs Mystic River, which wins numerous awards and accolades, including Academy Awards for two of its stars, Sean Penn and Tim Robbins

  • 2004

Directs and stars in Million Dollar Baby, acclaimed by many as one of the best pictures of the year

Any other suggestions?

Posters for Blood Work, Mystic River and Million Dollar Baby. Perhaps some photos from those films as well. Million Dollar Baby added to the filmography and perhaps even Flags of our Fathers?? Or is to soon? And what KC mentioned.

There currently is a 90 second grace period for edits.

I love the new grace period. I've never been a good proofreader of my posts, and I need to edit for punctuation and clarity all too often. In fact, 90 seconds is barely enough time for me to read my posts, let alone edit them too. Can that go up to maybe double that? A three minute grace period?

If that's not desirable, I'm still happy to have 90 seconds instead of nothing.

Yup, I'd vote for a three minute grace period too ... and smaller font for the "Last edited ..." text when it does show up.

Thanks a lot for fixing the time issue, Cal. Are there any other new updates on the horizon that we should be on the lookout for? I remember that you mentioned something about personalized skins or themes for the site.

I was wondering what will happen at the end of this year with the calendar--it only goes through 2010. Is there a way of updating it?

I also can't believe we've worked our way through the years since 2002 when this board first went up! :o

I like the update of the page that comes up when you first go to clinteastwood.net. Kinda nice to be able to go directly to the webboard from there.
