I bought this as a gift for a friend at work who's leaving to take a better job elsewhere. She's a fellow Yankee fan and often invites me to games, so I want to be sure we stay friends!  ;)

Great movies there, SK.

I see Sirocco isn't highly rated on IMDb, but must be worth looking into for Bogart alone.

I've only ever bought two DVD's that I've never seen before and they're both with Bogart. A few months ago I bought The Desperate Hours which was great, so I'm hoping this will be the same.

First one (WaW), supposedly the zenith of all WWII documentaries - although it's over than 30 yrs old, hosted by none other than Laurence Olivier himself. Gibson's Mayan epic was quite a pleasant surprise....had to add that to the library.  8)

The last one I've bought is

Wait Until Dark

Great stuff, very chilling...

Can anyone enlighten me about the reconstructed version of Fuller's The Big Red One? I've seen the shorter version but I'm hesitant to buy this one because I think it's a little iffy to let some critic recut the film the way he thinks the director might have wanted it... ???
