Never seen Gold but The Elephant Man is an excellent movie. Don't want to sound hokey but I was trying hard not to cry.

Finally picked up this 4 disc set yesterday for only £5

Very funny and I didn't know that John Vernon was in the pilot playing the mayor.

Looking forward to seeing the other episodes.

Collateral double-disc edition. I love the cinematography and the music in this film.

I really like this guy, Seth Rogen.  I think he's a fresh new comedic actor and I absolutely loved him in 40 Year Old Virgin alongside Steve Carell.  So, this is my first ever purchased DVD before having even seen the movie.
Knocked Up wasn't just another hilarious comedy, but also a believable real life type story.  Moreover, I had initially assumed the comedy itself would go out the window once the serious part of the story began, but I was wrong.  This movie keeps you laughing even when it becomes a serious situation.  It’s a real good movie IMO.  9/10

Got this at a good price and thought I should see it before seeing the remake, although I don't know when the new one is getting a release down here. Probably 2008. >:(

CHILDREN OF MEN (Les Fils de L'Homme)
I watched it on Friday evening, and this afternoon with my daughters : very well made, Clive Owen is simply ... amazing in this film, one of the best I saw recently.
I don't know why I had missed it on screen !

Watched this recently. My dad didn't think it was anything special but I loved it. Excellently acted and a lot of effort put into the film as a whole.

I thought the whole setup was just not credible. Some good visuals, though, and Owen was terrific.
