I'm determined that one day cats will rule the world (with me as their leader, of course!) Today, I ask you, the Clint faithful, to make a choice: are you with me, as a devoted kitty-lover, or will you do the dirty and devote yourself to the dog?
The choice is yours...choose carefully, as they said in Buffy recently*, you don't want to be on the losing side when it's good vs evil, cat vs dog...
N.B. This poll is completely unbiased in an environmentally-friendly non-stick fat-free kind of way.... *The last part may have been made up.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

Well, whenver I do the dirty I don't devote myself to no dog! Seriously though, I am a cat-lover, always have been, although we don't own one right now (my wife hates cats).

Here's my favorite breed of cat - a rare breed, very difficult to find in pet stores. Only downside is they're quite finicky, and can have a tendency to stray and get into mischief if you don't keep your eye on them. That's why I trained mine to be a housecat.

Cats, dogs, animals in general, who the hell knows?! HEHE... I think in general cats and dogs are more suited to people with different temperaments. Certain people with a temperament conducive to liking cats will like cats better, and other people will generally like dogs better. Dogs tend to me more aggressive, more interactive, less independent, more needy, more of a companion than cats are. Cats can pretty much survive on their own for the most part, dogs are much more of a commitment and they really do need to be taken care of. I've had both. I think my experiences with animals has colored my thinking a bit. The first animal that I remember getting was a golden retriever, and we had to put him to sleep because he had developed hip dysplasia (sp). Then, years later, we got another dog, another golden retriever, and we had to give that up because at the time my mom was pregnant with my little brother Fares, and my Dad was afraid that the dog being very hyper could kill my little brother or knock us all down and cause serious injury, so we had to give that dog up to somebody else as well. Golden retrievers in general tend to be very hyper and high maintenance. A couple of years ago, my little brother Fares and my mom picked up these two cats and we adopted them. We looked for an owner or any signs or mention of lost cats, but we never found anything, so we ended up taking in the cats. My brother named the cats Lucky and Misty. I don't know where the Misty came from, but my little brother, who was like 7 or 8 at the time, named the other cat lucky because we were "lucky that we found him." Then this past Christmas, we got another golden retriever, this being 9 years or so between this dog and the other dog that we had to give up. The dog is extremely hyper, jumps up and down all the time, the minute you go outside she'll try to jump on you and I just generally haven't dealt with it much at all. So, for me, this dog I don't really have much of a relationship with. My mom loves her, but I didn't really ever have much of an attachment. Maybe this is a subconscious thing because I did like the other two dogs, and we had to give them up, so maybe I didn't want to have an attachment to another dog I'd have to give up. I don't know. Mainly, I think I'd like the dog a lot better if it were trained and not extremely hyper and wanting to jump on me all of the time. With the cats, I like the cats a bit more, but Misty really keeps to herself and is very solitary, not really needing anyone or anything, so there isn't that much of an interaction. Lucky is more friendly and would sometimes come and sit on my lap or something like that, or jump on my bed when I wasn't even there, so I like him a bit more. I think in general, were I to get a pet, I'd probably get a cat because cats are a lot more solitary, it isn't as much of a responsibility, and cats will never jump all over you and knock you down If I had the choice between a cat and a really trained and respectful dog, that might change things, but in general, I think especially for a first time pet owner, it's probably best to have a cat Those are my thoughts. I'm not voting in your poll Ally, but I did want to come and support the thread with my own thoughts. Post more and post in the regular threads and film discussions and I'll go support you there, Ally! Come on girl! AMIR

Dogs tend to me more aggressive . An aggressive dog has got nothing but a mouth to bite, an aggressive cat has got 4 paws with claws on top of the mouth. I prefer an aggressive dog over an aggressive cat anytime (in a room that is, not in open countryside) And, to help choose between dog and cat, remember A dog has his master, a cat has his servants
