Cats for sure I have 2 a black 9 year old boy and a 2 year old Maincoon hopefully adding a chihuahua or pug once I move out since I'm not a fan of the big dogs especially Rottweilers  :-\

On the right, is that leather or pleather?  The correct answer is worth an extra .5 points.

Correct!  A real leather dog-suit is something a C-list celebrity would force on a prissy anklebiter dog.

;D Great dogs, Matt! Wasn't there a discussion on the board long ago about dressing dogs up in little outfits?

Yeah, this very thread.... about 2-3 pages in.  But, there was this too...

As a matter of fact, Christopher, your girlfriend was over here the other day offering to lend Katie one of her nightgowns. Unfortunately, Katie wears a 3-T, so it was a little small for her.  ;)

She appears to be delighted...I didn't know that dogs were capable of sarcasm. :)

Wow, that Christopher burn takes me on a trip down memory lane.  Forcing myself to be on topic, I'm still a big beagle fan although I don't have a dog these days due to travel schedules.

She's a bulldog (French) and extremely expressive. She hated the horns, but loved the tail (she doesn't have a tail of her own). She's definitely letting me know how she felt about it.  ;D

I think I'm more of a cat person. I've never really had a pet of my own, but growing up my family had cats and dogs. My Mom has several cats now and my brother has a couple cats as well. I always found cats to be much easier to take care of, and much cleaner, and both are important to me. If I had a pet, I would worry that I might not be able to give a dog all the love and attention that it might need to be happy, but a cat pretty much takes care of itself, so as long as you feed it and give it water and treat it with kindness, you are usually good to go with a cat.

It's tough watching an older dog start to fall apart. My 14 year old Bug (Boston Terrier/Pug) is really having a hard time walking. Sometimes she can't get up, and I have to carry her around. She seems depressed. Otherwise, she's healthy. Her quality of life is very low now, though. The only thing she enjoys is eating, and eating makes it harder for her to walk (puts weight on her hips, which are shot from arthritis). Sad times ahead.

That's sad to hear. I still have her picture up on my refrigerator from when she was a pup. :( (Yes, I know, I really ought to clear all those old things off my refrigerator!)

Dog lovers, I dare you to read that... make sure to extend it as you read until you've gotten to the end.

Damn.

And it's worse when you have one that's so close to this (and when you know your patience isn't as good as the person telling this story).

Matt, sorry to hear about your dog's failing health. It's tough when a precious pet is facing the inevitable. I lost my cat four years ago, which I wrote about in this thread, and I still miss him. I use the old phone that I had four years ago as an alarm clock and the desktop picture is of Shadow, and before me and my daughter take a nap, I set the alarm and then show her the picture of him, and she goes "Meow meow ... good night, kitty."

Thanks, Doug. She was doing a lot worse a couple of months ago, but seems better now. She's almost 15 years old. Putting her on a strict diet really has helped her overall health and mobility. She might have another year or two in her.
