For UK viewers the torture scenes and others cut for the original "X" certificate are all here

Morgoth, the Dutch A-Film version must still be missing parts of the torture scenes?

Thanks for the extra screen caps.  Going by those, overall Philo's ones of the MGM SE look better to me. :-\

I thought they looked too dark and brown, but I am viewing on an old monitor here at work.

I have to agree there is a colder look to the special edition. I guess it is what you like at the end of the day. Original Technicolor had very strong Blues and reds, which is maybe why I did notice it as much.

At first glance with the screenshots provided by that german comparison site I thought that the Afilm version looked way better. But now that I have seen more screencaps I think that the MGM is a little better. Seems like that the Afilm version looks better in bright scenes and the MGM in the darker scenes.  :-\

But I would definately go for the SE now if I didn't have my current DVD. The colder look doesn't weigh up against having a cut version.

Hi everyone,

Apologies if this has already been asked, but does anyone know if the DVDs will come with little postcards of the various movie posters that were realeased from around the world?

I know this is a mimor things, but I'm interested because I did a very nice glass framing job of the GBU cards and mounted them on the wall - they look fantastic and of course I would love to do the same if Fistful and FAFDM also have them.

I can't wait until these movies come out!!

Thx again

Hi Clint_rules,

Welcome to the board.

I am not aware of any postcards. There is a poster send away but you have to have coupons from all three releases.

As I understand it jpeg screenshots are often quite "off" in terms of video reproduction.

I just bought the special editions of 'Fistful Of Dollars' & 'For A Few Dollars More' for £8 each! I think they're very well put together and excellent value for money......also just received 'Million Dollar baby'....but haven't unwrapped it yet!  :)
