I agree, that was an excellent film—though I thought the screenplay was kind of A-B-C and not really deserving of the Oscar it won. I'd have given the Oscar to Cumberbatch, but then I like him in anything he does.
If you liked it, though, you may want to check out the TV series The Bletchley Circle, the adventures of some of the women who had worked on the codebreaking project during the war, who get caught up in murder investigations in postwar London, still with their super-sharp intellects and unusual skills at the ready, but without any real use for them in everyday life, and without being able to talk about their wartime achievements, even to family members.
