The Bible: In The Beginning (1966) I was curious to see the movie that was number one the week I was born. It was definitely interesting. I can just imagine what this would look like if it were remade today, with all the cgi technology available. I recognized Richard Harris, John Huston, Peter O’Toole and George C. Scott here, but not Ava Gardner. To reveal my religious history ignorance, I didn’t know the outcome when Abraham was bringing his son Isaac to be sacrificed and was prepared to bawl my eyes out. I couldn’t help but get emotional as I watched him tie his son up, lie him down and begin to light the fire! MAN! Just the THOUGHT of it! What a relief to find he was spared!

Today (meaning Saturday) I watched on TCM Cape Fear (1962), Sabrina (1954), The Bridge on the River Kwai, the DVD of Dirty Harry, and two episodes of The Flash. I haven't watched that many movies in a while. And it didn't even feel like much. I wonder why I don't do that more often... Oh, right, I remember, a three-year-old at home. It helped I'd seen those movies all before except Cape Fear, though I've seen Scorsese's remake.
