Here's a couple cool animated avatars I found.

Here's a cool one I found, I think Holden Pike might like this.

And do any of you guys know where I can find an animated avatar from Million Dollar Baby?

Some of these can be funny...like AB's drunken cat, and the one from The Office - as Lin says, that's David Brent doing his famous dance in the British comedy series.  And the Blondie one could be cool for a short while.

But anything with repetitive movement has the potential to be quite distracting and annoying, so I'm not a great fan of animated avatars. :(

One very subtle animated avatar that I do like is one of Matt's, of Unforgiven.  Watch Munny.

I'd just like to remind everyone that we strongly discourage people from using animated avatars on this Board. They could slow down the loading of pages, in the first place, and in the second place, they are very distracting to people who are trying to read through a thread. (Even though those of us using Firefox can easily avoid that distraction by hitting Escape. ;) )

Matt's Unforgiven av is so subtle that it might be an exception.

My jumping bunny avatar experiment lasted all of 1.5 days.  It sounded good on paper, but got annoying very quickly.

I'm on a few bodybuilding webboards and many of the guys on there have huge avatars that are animated and well, probably inappropriate for this board :)   If you have several on the screen at the same time, its pretty distracting to try to read and mull over what the thread posters are saying.
The most ridiculous animated avatar I've seen on a fitness webboard (and I've seen many) is a video loop of Bruce Lee throwing a guy on the ground and then punching him hard in the groin...and right after the nutshot, big red letters proclaim "OWNED!"  Reading a post and trying to toss it around in the ole' noggin with that playing over and over is a bit of a task  8)

Don't forget the Escape key, Conan ...  ;)

Also, check whether the site lets you turn off avs. A very helpful function on some sites.  :D

(And yes, I use those horrible animated smilies with ironic intent!  ;D )

Good ol'OWNED. At least it didn't say "P3WND!!!!" like I've seen some people use.

Ahh yes, how could I forget my subtle hint to lose the bunny.  I was already leaning towards giving him the axe anyway; he looked funny and cute for all of 30 seconds  8)

That sounds like Lee and Bob Wall from The Way of the dragon.

Yea, thats the scene.  Wall's reaction post nutpunch is a little over-the-top.
