Cool. KC, I don't know if you've explored all the stuff on the Cannes website, but they have video from the press conference that is quite nice, they have a clip for the film, and other things as well.

Once you get to the Mystic River page, if you go to the video section on the left hand side of the page, and click "trailer" you can see a clip from the film with Laurence Fishburne and Kevin Bacon. Under Press Conference, you can hear Clint and the rest of the cast talking about the film, some of it is rather insightful and interesting, if you go under highlight there's some more talking about the film, interspersed with small clips, and finally, under interviews, you can hear Laura Linney, Kevin Bacon, and Tim Robbins discuss the film. Clint Eastwood does not appear in this section. There's another section called "photocall" that's basically useless, unless you want to see Clint arrive and stand with the rest of the cast smiling and taking pictures.

You can find all that stuff at the following link. In order to see it, after clicking the various links like trailer, highlights, interviews, you need to go scroll down to the end of the page. There, you can see it in different video formats:

It's pretty cool stuff. Any board members who want to see all that video, come back and tell us what you think!

Anyone take a look at this stuff yet? Let me know what your thoughts were.

Did anybody notice in the "highlights" video, close to the very beginning, there seems to be a portion of some trailer for the film playing, and Eastwood himself is doing the voice over? At first, I thought no, that can't be Eastwood, but then I took another listen and sure enough, it is Eastwood. Did Eastwood himself do the trailer for the Mystic River film, or more likely, are all the directors supposed to prepare some kind of introduction to the film, and a portion of this introduction is seen in the highlight video? Either way, I thought it was engrossing and enticed me to want to find out more, and I thought it was a nice touch that Eastwood did the voice over for it.

great video - pity it wasn't longer and tim robbins etc. didn't have longer to describe the parts they play - i guess the topic is not an easy one to describe unlike eg. space cowboys

umm no win for clint

Yeah, too bad.  Gus Van Sant took the top prize with "Elephant" and I heard no mention of Clint's film even placing.
