The question for Pulp Fiction. Are you a Beatles or Elvis fan? I'm an Elvis fan, just because I grew up listening to the music, my Dad was a HUGE fan.

Yes he did  Wooden Heart.    There were a few verses in German recorded while he was serving out there.

Ooops!  :D Never heard that one. Thanks, Lin!

Of course, I was joking with KC considering how much she enjoyed hearing the Beatles sing "Komm Gib Mir Deine Hand".  ;)

Obviously it's The Beatles for me.

I also like Elvis, but I've never grown a passion for his music. But, Christmas isn't Christmas until I put Elvis's Christmas CDs in the deck.

I've never been an Elvis fan.  I do have a few Beatles CDs that sometimes make the rotation for the player in my office, so I'll go with them.  Sadly, I admit to liking mostly their mainstream stuff and don't even recognize 90% of the tracks listed in the Survivor thread.

On the road right now...I was planning to skim through to find some underrated favorites.  Partly so I don't come across a maintreamer...You know, "Revolution rocks, its their best song!" type of guy...and partly because I wouldn't mind unearthing an old gem that I had passed over.

theres no question who was more musically talented, the beatles all wrote and recorded hit songs not just together but seperately, that said i'm siding with elvis, i just love his early rock and roll stuff along with his vegas days he'd a tremendous voice, but like most singers way back in the 50's he didn't write half the stuff he's credited with, the colonel was a great manager working out deals that involved crediting elvis on the songs
(you could have 50& creit and royalties on your own song and have elvis sell millions of copies all overthe world, or it could rest on the shelf til someone recorded it and you would get 100% of the royalties for a couple of thousand sales.)

I'm sticking with Elvis as the question is who do you prefer, but you have to admit musically the beatles were way ahead in their talent, i just don't think any beatle had a voice to match Elvis'

Matt I can't find Elvis singing Wooden Heart but HERE is a link to the song.    At least they have printed the German words. :)

Lin, when I click on that link, it plays the song. Doesn't it for you? This isn't Elvis's best moment.  :-\
