POSTING GUIDELINES.

Most of what is written here is already covered in The Clint Eastwood Forums Community Standards. These are just a few reminders in case it's been a while since you read them.

Before posting new topics, please do a search of the Board. There may be a topic already posted on the subject. To do a search, click on the SEARCH button on the top of each page.

Please do not make duplicate posts in different threads. If you post something in one thread, there is no need to post the same thing in another.

When posting articles or parts of articles from another source, please give the source and provide a link to it.  If it is a "print only" source, give the exact author, title and date of publication. Please format any part of the article that you quote in your post as a quote, or place it in quotation marks if it is very brief.

In general, there is no need to quote the whole article if it is a long one. Anyone who is interested can click the link you've provided and read the whole article.

To format text as a quote: Highlight the text and click the Quote button above the reply box and the row of smilies. (Second to last button on the bottom row).

If you are using the quick reply box, you will have to type in the tags yourself. Put [ quote] before the text you're quoting and [ /quote] after it (without the spaces after the opening square bracket).

For example:

From Variety:

Quote
Meyer confirmed that the fire damaged two of the eight locations for the CBS drama "The Ghost Whisperer" and "completely destroyed" a set that most recently housed "Changeling," a Universal feature directed by Clint Eastwood that just had its premiere at Cannes.

Also, if you find a news item on another board, on someone's blog, or on a site like ContactMusic.com that only repeats items from other sources, please try to find the original source and quote the item from there. (Most often, reputable blogs and boards will provide a link.)

Posters who don't follow these guidelines may expect to have their posts edited by the Moderators.

Thanks for your understanding and your cooperation, and enjoy the Board.  :)
