No, the Scorsese Board folded even before Cal moved Eastwood. Too bad, I liked it over there. There wasn't quite as much action there as on the Eastwood or Leone boards (Leone really had the most post-per-day when I started participating in all three boards), but the handful of us regulars talking about Marty really knew our stuff and had loads of fun. I lost touch with all those guys within months after the board folded. We never found another Scorsese board. Too bad. If I wasn't such a Luddite and didn't spend all my time on the boards I do frequent (HOURS a day) I might have done one myself. Never happened. Never will.
Alas.
After participating on lots of different boards over the years, I'm always impressed by how Cal has been able to not just maintain but keep his great site and board growing year after year. I also rarely get a chance to openly commend him for his efforts. Thanks a million, Cal. And thanks to KC and all the other moderators over the years, too. You all have done a great job, and this is definitely a site where you care see the care and passion of the people behind it.
Thanks, Holden. Shame it folded. From a brief look at the FilmBug Scorsese forum, it doesn't look too well organised. I know what you mean about wanting to start a site but not doing it. I've lost count of the sites I've started and not finished, or not even started. I know there's no point me doing a forum 'cause my job will be too disruptive for me to provide long-term maintenance. Anyway it'd suck up our lives! I second your thought about Cal et al. This board is more constant than most things in cyberlife.

Wow ... this thread has attracted a crowd! Look at who's all online ... KC, Holden Pike, Matt, tgy, Patrick Hyde, Lilly, Conan, philo, Christopher, Dannyman Except for Patrick, tgy and Dannyman, they've all been posting in this thread, too! And I just noticed we've got a Guest who is "Printing the topic THE ENDLESS, POINTLESS thread"!

Alas, they're probably gone for good ... both the rest of the "Guacamole" thread and the "White Hunter Black Heart" thread. The White Hunter thread I remember. I tried one last (futile) time to explain to Gunny how unreadable his posts were by replying in kind, and somehow I managed to slip in the Groucho Marx line about awaking one morning to find an elephant in his pajamas. Not that it dented Gunny's, let's call it enthusiasm, for posting the way he always did. Ah, just like it was yesterday. KC, did you save or find that thread about Eastwood porno titles?

Reading back over some of these posts and topics from years ago, it's really why I rarely have anything to add in the "on-topic" Eastwood forums the past couple years. Those of us who were here back then, we went over and over all this information so many times, from so many angles, I just burned out on it and got sick of essentially repeating myself for the eighty-third time on this topic or that. I know this was years ago now, and the majority of those people I thrashed it out with have gone, but to me it does still seem like yesterday, and I just can't rev up the same energy to talk about the minutiae of Eastwood's entire filmography. Been there, done that...for years. I love Clint's films even more now than I did then, I just can't stand the sound of my own voice discussing them anymore.
Anyway, a nice stroll down memory lane.
