To GBU´s defence, i must say that i´ve seen the Beowulf poem in a two book conversion (though why bother, the poem isn't that long

) and it´s nice to see a viking movie with vikings without those stupid horns on their helmets. Stellan Skarsgaard (as king Hrothgar) is probably going to be good, he was just about the only good thing in that King Arthur movie.
There has been some good adaptations of old viking stories recently that are also worth checking out. Notably Niebelung, about the warrior Sigfried who killed the dragon Fafner. The most wellknown actress in the movie is Kristina loken (terminator 3) as queen Brunhilde
