;D  I didn't see much of the game but checked out the score last night and figured you would be pleased with that.

Let's hope "Third Time's The Charm" for the Eagles in the Super Bowl. Haven't won one yet. We've gotta get past Tom Brady, so it won't be easy. (Side note, their last Super Bowl appearance had them lose to the Patriots).

My father is a life-long Eagles fan, 85 years old. He's got a lot of health issues, and we don't know how much more time he has. It would be awesome for them to finally win while he can enjoy it.

I'm going up to Philly for the parade. Did y'all see the footage of Broad Street last night? 50,000 Philadelphians celebrating in the streets. I got a strong dose of homesickness.

And then there's this, which is hilarious:

I'm finally on the mend, after catching something awful when I went up to Philly for the Championship Parade a month ago. My friend's daughter was really sick, and I guess I caught it. But, I'm finally feeling pretty much back to normal again. It was great to be in Philly on one of the best days the city's had in my lifetime:

We had a room 12 stories up right on the parade route, and were able to go down and be in the throngs of the excitement, but also get away from it and have a warm place to view the parade, and great cheesesteak delivery from the restaurant below. In any case, I'm glad I got to be there, but not sure it was worth being so sick for so long.

Didn't know you'd been sick, Matt, but glad you're feeling better! It seems like it's been really bad this year for stuff like that.

Along the waterfront of Seattle is Olympic Sculpture Park, where you can walk among all kind of larger than life sculptures like this one:

This is a runaway typewriter eraser, and in case you didn't recognize the style of this art form, it's from our friend who did the Philadelphia Clothespin: Claes Oldenburg.

Has anyone ever seen or used one of these? Apparently, you can buy a replacement eraser on Amazon, but it doesn't come with the brush anymore (though they spring up on eBay from time to time).

I like that, but since I'd never seen a typewriter eraser, I'd never have known what that was. :D

I didn't know what it was either, but I was intrigued enough by it to read all about typewriter erasers. I like how they set this to look like it's running down the hill and into traffic:

A useless bit of info I've been carrying around in my head for about 40 years is that the inventor of Liquid Paper (White Out), which put an end to the long-standing reign of typewriter erasers as the primary method of correcting typos, was the mother of The Monkee's guitarist Mike Nesmith.

That's him in the hat. Mike has a net worth of 50 million, all from putting a little brush in some white paint in a bottle. But, some of it is from royalties for songs like this:

I used to have a typewriter eraser like that. Gosh, I'm old enough to remember typewriters! :o

I never liked whiteout. Too messy. But I didn't like to use the eraser, either. Best thing to do was to type the whole page over.

You're not old until you remember using quill pens (and if you do, shhhh)

I do remember using a fountain pen. :o

Not out of necessity (they did have ballpoints, felt tip pens and the like way back then) but because I liked the way it wrote.

I learned today that wild turkeys can fly. I know this because my dog chased one, which literally gobble-gobble-gobbled as it was running full speed, then like an airplane on a runway, it lifted up and was off!

LOLOL hold on Matt, I gotta get a grasp of this flight.

As in a "FLY LIKE AN EAGLE" moment flying turkey? Or as in Sully going a few feet and then needing to circle around and land in a pond?

See what I did there? :)

Endless....thoughtless...pointless....
