Not being one to blow my own trumpet... cos I'm a drummer..

But I find myself with a festival date in France soon supporting
Status Quo (not sure if they ever cracked the States) and Santana..
I'll try and get some pics if possible...

That will be great, Gant!  8)  I think it will be near Genève and it's a little far for me!
But I'm going to Reims this weekend to attend the concert of Kyle !!  ;)

While not really a concert, I saw comedian Russell Peters a few weeks ago here in NC.  He has the best crowd work I've ever seen; the guy is scary fast.  Before he got on stage, his DJ played a bunch of old school rap complete with videos which was awesome.

Good luck with the gig Gant.

My last live concert was in Paris where I saw this french artist, Zaz. I like her music very much.

The next one should be Morricone, his concert in Helsinki was first cancelled but they luckily got a new date for it.

I also considered seeing Kris Kristofferson, but I've seen him once and don't know if I'll go this time.

It was quite a lovely time. I can't say I was a big fan of his, but my companion for the evening was a fan, and so we got front row. We met Bobby and had drinks after the show, and chatted up. We decided to do a movie together "Cop-Out". Then he had a fling with my girl, and we had a row, and I knocked out one of his front teeth (no one knows about that, he has a great cosmetic dentist). Anyway, a few years later I ran into him again, quite by accident, and we went out and got pissed. Everything's long forgotten now. Bobby's a good man.

I went to see Kyle to Reims (150 Km from PARIS) because I would like to visit The Chapel of Fujita at Reims since long time! And I decided to go to there without hesitation when I knew that Kyle's concerts will be held in Reims! And my son gave me the concert ticket for the gift of The Mother's Day!! O0
This time once again the drummer was changed! Only pianist Andrew McCormack was always with Kyle for almost 10 years!  Andrew is a great pianist!!
For several years already, since when Michael Stevens, playing keybord who worked with Kyle on many projects, especially  '' Letters from Iwo Jima '' was left, Kyle plays bass for '' Letters from Iwo Jima '' with Andrew McCormack's piano is still beautiful and emotional!! 8)
And this night they replayed the first time since longtime "Big Noise Re-Remix" and "Marrakech Remix" Kyle has changed one of his electric guitar, green one to red!! But his whistles unfortunately does not change! ???  His dad did much better!! ;)  Anyway it was the great gig!! O0 8)
And after the concert, I had the chance to talk with Kyle and Andrew! ::)   Kyle gave me several autographs in ' CLINT A Retrospective by Richaed Schikel ' which I brought from PARIS!!   I told Kyle that 'It was very heavy' !! Then he took my hands and caressed!! He was very nice!! :-*
They had drinking champagne that night in place of the usual beer!! :o  Because Reims is the famous Champagne regions!!  It was very nice evening!!  :)

Arrested Development has ruined that song for me forever.

Gant, have you seen that show? If not, that could be a good TV series for you to track down.

Jessica Walter has a major role in the series. Gob is hysterical and that was his theme song.

"Sir Paul", "Macca"....

I went to see Paul McCartney in concert at Fenway Park in Boston ("Bahstn") this past Sunday night and it was as good as the first time I saw him there in 2009.  I'll post more on this at a later date, either in the Beatles thread or my own McCartney Reviews thread.  The weather was perfect!

I'm going to see these guys tomorrow night (they're touring with the Goo Goo Dolls and Tribe Society).

Now that's a concert I'd love to attend. Love both Collective Soul and Goo Goo Dolls.

I might see Springsteen in Philly next month. I've regretted not seeing him once in all these years he's been performing, and he still does a crazy 3-4 hour set.

Do it. You will not be disappointed. I saw him for the first time in 2013 and went again 2 days later. Both shows were completely different as the set list was different and both shows went just over 3 hours.

Three hours is crazy! The Goo Goo Dolls concert was fun last night. It was nearly four hours with three bands, but there was a pretty lengthy set up time between Collective Soul and Goo Goo Dolls (who were the headliners). It was probably three hours of playing time total.
