Yes, KC, add Tightrope.

Done. I also set the option to allow people to change their vote, in case anyone who voted for something else wants to change it to Tightrope.

A Perfect World should be included as well.  It's as dark as any of Clint's movies.

I was going to vote for HPD but after seeing Million Dollar Baby I opted to vote for the latter. That film tapped a nerve in my eye lids.

If we are talking dark as far as visual, Bird  is  the darkest. It's so dark that its beyond watching in some aspects. As far as  Dark as in other aspects, I would go with Tightrope, though the Begulled is a extremely offbeat role.

I'd have to say Mystic River as the films conclusion is so unsettling.

Close behind that would be City Heat, that was a dark..dark evening when I left the theatre that night :o

You may have meant that as a joke, but in fact ... City Heat is one of Clint's darkest films in terms of how much actual daylight is seen. If I recall right, there is only ONE scene that doesn't take place at night ... and that's set in a cemetery.

Only a small Joke KC, and not that funny ;)
That's a very good observation actually KC, just trying to remember if Richard Roundtrees Character was introduced during the daylight hours, was he getting his shoes shined, only going from memory though.

Probably.

I was going from memory on the daylight scenes; there may have been more than one. Have to re-watch it start to finish ... one of these days ... ;)

That is a hard question to answer. I might have to go with "Million Dollar Baby". That film is the only movie that I have seen that was brilliant but I can never watch it again. After viewing that movie I was extremely heartbroken. I went to my back yard with a couple of beers, a pack of smokes and my acoustic guitar for about an hour. Watching that film I rooted for Clint and Hillary's characters so much that when the turn of events went bad, I was devastated. I put Hillary Swank's performance in that film right there with Sissy Spacek in "Coal Miners Daughter" and Betty Davis in "Of Human Bondage".
