Greetings, I was looking for information on an 1858 New Army conversion & found the site by accident..a happy accident as it were.

I am a fan of Clint's older westerns, Outlaw Josey Wales stands out, & many of his other films as well.

As one might gather from my opening statement, I am a "gun guy" & as many of Mr. Eastwoods films have firearms raised almost to the level of "co-star", it's probably natural that I would be a fan.

Hello Clint Eastwood fans,

I am a huge western movie fan, and naturally I am also a huge Clint Eastwood fan as well!  I do have my favorites when it comes to all of his western movies just like everyone else does.  But I can tell you I really like every one of his western's!  There's not one that I don't like!  His ability to grab the audiences attention not just in western's but in all of his movies is first class and second to none!  I also really enjoy all of his other non western movies as well.  To me a sign of a great actor is the ability to grab the audiences attention, keeping them interested, and the actors ability to play various roles.  He definetely grabs my attention and keeps me interested.  And he has proven that he is a great actor in various other movie genre's as well.  I had been visiting this site for a few weeks and decided to become a member.   Everybody on here seems really cool!  I am looking forward to getting to know all of you.  And I am really looking forward to posting and replying to various discussion topics about our favorite actor, director, and producer Clint Eastwood.

Thanks

Never knew a forum about Clint even existed. I'm sure I would of joined years ago. It'll be great to catch up on all the trivia I should already know. Lots of passionate people here I'm sure. If I truly have something to say I'll be brief and if I don't I'll just keep it to myself. I came to this site to deliver some long over-due ideas. Hopefully they'll inspire just a little and everyone's input here will inspire me just a little as well. This is a very well run forum I must say. I'm sure Clint is very happy with what has been done here no doubt. Lots of cool people here...  O0

Welcome David.

I did enjoy your thread for another Dirty Harry.  Hope we see you around here more often.

We have no idea if Clint does look at this forum.  If he ever did I would hope he would be pleased with it.

See what I mean...Cool people everywhere. Thanks for the compliments everyone. I know forums are read by lots of people; especially celebrities. They can't help but want to know what others are thinking about them. You simply can not ignore public opinion. The internet is everywhere.

The outline I wrote for a Dirty Harry sequel is always evolving. I've fine tuned it somewhat but still add things when I get ideas that seem to work well with it. By the end of this summer I'll most likely consider sending it to one of those web sites I listed at the very end of my posts. I'll roll the dice and see what happens then...

See you out there in cyberspace eveyone.  :)

Hi all, glad to be on the site…!

Your posts caught my attention, rr-electricangel. I completed a Dirty Harry screenplay a couple weeks ago and talked with his agent on Monday, who was extremely kind, cordial, and helpful -- up to the mention of Dirty Harry, at which point I was smacked down like a snot-nosed school kid. Lol...d'oh! Sort of a "Not only no, but hell no" kind of thing. Ah, well...can't blame him. But still a darned good script. Maybe I can rework it as some other hard-nosed retired cop helping solve what I feel is a pretty interesting and timely string of politically-motivated crimes. Not near as fun without that Clint Eastwood sparkle, though. I actually started to rewrite it already, but it's just not the same. Maybe I'll try Spartacus 2 for Kirk Douglas...

It was Mr. Eastwood's own fault, really, since -- although he's dismissed and ridiculed the idea of another Dirty Harry for reasons I fully understand, and probably would've voiced myself prior to the inspiration to write it -- he did say in one of the interviews on the Dirty Harry DVD four pack that "If the right script came along" he'd consider it. And what with my being a bit of a writer, and having a germ of an idea from a Dirty Harry reference I'd made regarding the Superbowl ad in private correspondence, and it being during the two or three months I had no TV reception and only watched DVDs, three-quarters of which were the first five seasons of Gunsmoke (which are surprisingly noir in their dialogue and situations) and the aforementioned Dirty Harrys, I said "Ah, what the hell...?"

What the hell, indeed. SMACK! Thanks for letting me share my grief with you. I can move on now...

I does help, thanks KC...!  Didn't know how much I had to say on the subject of Clint until given the opportunity... : )  Josie Wales was the first Clint film I remember seeing, btw, and still a likely favorite.
