No, I thought I'd wait until we had a few people agreed on a date.

Elizabeth77 and JSE, could you make it on the 28th? It's not really good for me but I will do my best!

I can make it on the 28th...

The 21st would be better for me, although at a pinch I could make 28th.

Congratulations JSE.  Hope all goes well for Tracey and the new arrival.  :)

SK you are forgiven however you will be missed.  :(

Thanks Lin  :)

All right, we have Elizabeth77, JSE, TwoMules, Lin and myself who can all make it on the 28th. Now all we have to do is decide on a movie!

Thanks TwoMules  :)

Are we to have a poll for the movie choice?  Doesn't have to be the three I mentioned, I'm happy to watch any movie!

These are the movies suggested so far:

  • Thunderbolt and Lightfoot
  • The Beguiled
  • The Eiger Sanction
  • Every Which Way But Loose

We'll elimintate Thunderbolt and Lightfoot since Elizabeth doesn't have it. That leaves:

  • The Beguiled
  • The Eiger Sanction
  • Every Which Way But Loose

Any other suggestions before we set up the poll? For the record, Every Which Way But Loose is the only one that we didn't have on a Movie Night in 2011; it has only been watched here once, in 2007.

A list of the movies we've watched and when we watched them is here:

I am happy to watch Every Which Way But Loose or The Eiger Sanction. I took part in The Eiger Sanction one in 2011. You will probably remember I didn't do the The Beguiled movie night because I am not a fan of that movie.

If anyone wants to watch any other movie, that's ok with me but please not The Beguiled, thank you! :D

The concession stand in this theater has been closed for years ... can't get enough folks to come to the show any more. :(

PAINT YOUR WAGON - The Drinking Game Movie Night

In the spirit of the production crew, we're going to get completely stone-faced drunk on grape nehi, tequila, beer, or white wine spritzers (I'm looking at you with that last one, KC)

(Okay, I don't know that they were drunk when they made Paint Your Wagon, but it makes me feel a little better about the movie.)

Rules:  Your favorite drink -- if you're under 21, obviously non-alcoholic (don't want the board to get sued, you know).

Everytime someone starts singing... drink.  And maybe we can make up some more fun rules along the way.

I dont' know what the official "quorum" is for a Movie Night, but I'd guess at least 6?

Who's in?  Show if you're interested here!

While we're all still in quarantine, how about we get a Movie Night going? I think a light-hearted fun action film might be a good distraction for us, and I'm thinking The Gauntlet. Shall we try to get something set up for next Saturday or Sunday afternoon? If anyone has a movie suggestion they'd rather do, let's hear it.

Great!  O0  What we do is get our own DVD cued up and ready on the same frame (I'll post a screencap of that frame a day or so before) and then we start the movie at the same time (going by the board forum clock).  THen we just say whatever comes to mind as the movie plays. Since there are different frame rates for different regions, after about 30 minutes or so we get a little out of sync, so we'll pause and start back up again a few times during the film. Have your favorite snacks ready -- and see you Saturday night in the thread here:
