Well, yesterday marked 1 month 'til Diana's due-date of May 21.  Thank you all for your name suggestions.  Unfortunately, we're no closer now than we were months ago.  We've been talking about Joseph or Nicholas for a first name and possibly using mine for his middle name.  I was hoping we'd come across a name that would jump out at us and we'd say, "Yes, that's the one!"

My wife takes leave from work next week and that weekend we attend my younger sister's baby shower; she's due in June.

 ;)

Yes!  The wait is finally over! WOO-HOO!  :)

Nicholas Brian Cooper was born Thursday, May 17 at 11:17 p.m.  He weighed 5 pounds, 9 ounces and measured 18 inches long.  Just a peanut but a handsome little devil (ahem...like his dad  ;D) and all the nurses loved him.  At just a day and a half old, he already had his first marriage proposal!  A beautiful nurse named Gloria asked for his hand in marriage!  My boy, my boy!  ;)

We returned home Sunday, both mama Diana and baby are doing fine, with proud papa doing some major diaper duty!  ..."It's a whole new ball game these days!"  O0

Wow, thanks everyone!  :)  Nicholas is a very healthy baby, doing what all newborn babies do; feeding, sleeping, pooping and peeing!  I threw in a couple of Sinatra and Dean Martin cds into our living room stereo for times I'm holding him in the rocking chair.  It'll be fun singing (at a very low tone  ;)) and humming along to the great hits of Ol' Blue Eyes and Dino while Baby Nicholas is cradled in my arms.  I know it's a ways away, but I can't wait to teach him how to walk.  I had fun doing that with my nephew.

I was due to return to work next week but took it off.  One week isn't enough.  Diana & I are settling into a pattern and are more comfortable with handling Nicholas' feeding times.  Someone recently asked me if the whole birth experience was surreal and I said no.  We've been anticipating this moment for months and I was alert and proud to say I had a strong hand in helping Diana from beginning to end.  It was as real as anything can get; the best moment in my life!  :)  What's surreal is my new sleep schedule; getting up at odd hours of the night & morning to make sure the baby is fed and trying to catch a nap at various times during the day.  I'm happy to do it, though.   O0

Again, thank you all for your posts to this thread and another thanks to Matt for starting it.  I'm hoping to post a photo or two here sometime soon but have difficulty with that and may need help from a moderator.  :-[

Well, I should try to get some sleep.  It's quarter to midnight and I'm wide awake, go figure.   :D

It was as real as anything can get; the best moment in my life!  :)

Glad to hear that everything is going good (outside of the sleep deprevation).  Congrats man!

I'm a bit slow catching up on the news...that's great, Brian!  Congratulations.  And you guys chose a good name. O0  Try him with that Gauntlet CD some time. 8)

How many CEWB babies have we had?  I know a lot of members have kids, but most I can think of were born before their parents were on the board.

I can't thank KC enough for helping me with posting these early photos of Nicholas!  O0  Thank you thank you thank you, KC!  :)

"Mini-Cooper" is just over 7 pounds now.  Diana and I brought him to my company barbeque Friday...so many have been anticipating his arrival!  I was glad we could make it even though I normally don't work Fridays.  I was happy to make an exception so we could show off Nicholas.
